Hi there, we need to talk. My name is Amy Moser. I have almost written this post at least 20 times and got too overwhelmed and abandoned it. Well here goes…
The antibiotics you took or are taking for your sinus infection, UTI, skin infection, laser eye surgery…ect…may have already damaged you.
Cipro, Levaquin, Avalox, nearly every generic ending in “quin”, “oxacin,””ox,”…are all part of a large family of antibiotics called “Fluoroquinolones.” The FDA finally updated their warning on these antibiotics as of July 2016. I read that earlier this week. I had a gasp, too, because four years ago last week, I took Cipro for a UTI and the dr who prescribed it MENTIONED the possible side effects. I don’t remember having taken it before that, or since, but I remember my concern at the time, and especially how weird it was to tell someone with anxiety disorder something so scary! The only problem I had then was the UTI.
I guess I got lucky. Maybe. I don’t think I’ll take it again.
Well, hopefully your system handled it and sent it on its with the UTI and good health remains.
I can’t think of anything that happened directly after, so I may have been lucky.
