The first thing I thought of when I saw the prompt was one of my favorite commercials. Enjoy.
It always makes me giggle. And wish for a chewy peanut butter cup.
I remember we ‘grands’ spread out on our grandparents’ floor after church. Not laughing, unless Silly Putty was involved. The colorful comics seemed more truths than humor
A couple stood out over the years. The one above (but my parents wouldn’t allow a dog inside to sleep.)
One little guy with a huge sombrero in a wagon his rope lassoed on a star. I think the caption was ‘aim for the stars and when you find the one you love, hang on.’
Another was eighth notes hanging out on the piano. One sitting on the music stand covered with cobwebs. That one says, “How can you tell I haven’t practiced?” See? Truth.
