Michone! Need I say more? She is why I started watching and continue to be intrigued by the series no matter what form I consume. In fact, the depth of characters, especially the female ones, grows with each new birthed version. Finally, books and shows that have true equality. Even the bad guys show their good sides, and all the others show faults to overcome.
These Kindle versions are shorter but, for a $1.99 pack quite the story. And far better than the paper comic books in that you can enlarge the font or pictures for better understanding.

Plans for the ADD person are complicated at best. But with the addition of nearly 100 degrees, cleaning vomit from the dog who seems not to get along with her meds, then the trips outside and all the normal things to do in a day. My plans were awash. Not laundry. Just washed away.
Instead of writing or getting projects into yWriter7, WriteItNow, and Scrivener, I found a video game that I could download from the game group I bought from ages ago. I have a ton of writing that needs editing and moved around. Overwhelm much? Yep!
The story is horrid. The games and hidden objects help distract the heat and guilt of not doing the jobs I should.
So I bathed myself in non-adulting for a change! Take that, adult world! Awash in fun for a change!
I’m grateful for my new laptop but have to admit my frustrations of starting over. All my writing in yWriter7 and WriteItNow and Scrivener are stuck in RTF form and tons of work awaits to bring them back to life. So that’s my time lately in a nutshell.
Sadly I have to report I didn’t get but half my word count goal this month. But I had a marvelous time with family and friends, so not really complaining. Just reporting.

This is the next hand-held charm to work on. These are great for times when you don’t want to bend over the bigger pictures.

Started another pair of cotton spa slippers. I love this yarn my friend gifted me.
Today our three furries had a vet appointment. These two seem none the worse for the wear. Three hours in the non-AC truck can with all windows open. But their prognoses (is that plural?), Rosey, the black one is old but healthiest of the bunch. Not even considered overweight. Her seizures to be watched, nothing more to be done. Teddy, the ginger, has cancer sores in his mouth and had to get a steroid shot. And drops to take. He hates that.
Kali is old and has arthritis, is deaf, with cataracts. Nothing we can do but give pain meds. She is meandering as is her habit. That’s why the picture is blurry. It’s probably time for her meds . Poor babies.
While my brother and husband did the vet run. My son and I cleaned. He worked on the out of control mud room. I shampooed the carpets. It was nice not to have furballs in the way. We were successful in our ventures. Now I need to finish cleaning out the shampooer. Yuck!
I found these deluxe editions thinking it was the way I was reading these before. I had been on #18, I thought. But although this is the same story, these $1.99 comics are shorter in length. It seems about where I left off before, maybe a little of a review, but easy to get back on track.
I love The Walking Dead. I love human interactions. The monsters, the dead, don’t scare me as much as the people. As would happen in a situation like this, you don’t know who to trust anymore.
Rick is going crazy in this edition, and we are not even sure about him.
This may be the way to go if you can’t afford to read the larger editions that cost a lot. I love reading the comics on the Kindle because you can enlarge to a frame-by-frame situation and see the picture and words better than a paper version. I’m spoiled reading comics this way, even though I have had cataract surgery and can now read paper books.
After watching the Worn Stories on Netflix, I decided to look this up. I found it on Libby as a Kindle version.
I wish I had found it as an Audible version or paper copy. Text-to-Speech doesn’t stop for pictures. I didn’t feel like stopping the stories just to look at the pictures of old clothes that held no meaning for me. It works better as a show as you see the person talking and their story with their memory clothing. The Kindle version makes it a dry story with no personality.
AND I’m not too fond of short stories. Ever. I wanted a lot more depth. I could deal with each story being a book unto itself.
Don’t we all have those favorite bits of clothes that bring us memories and comfort? I sure do.

It’s Never.
That’s right. It’s never. Different than forever. Different than now. Endings. They are as sure as beginnings. And just as unpredictable. ‘It was a dark and stormy night’ could easily be an ending as a beginning. Think about it. The main character feels solid in her growth and the reader knows there is no more story. Even still it could end because it was a dark and stormy night. Hey, better that than, It’s never.
What happens in never? Is Peter Pan the only one to deal with that? Never grow up, never grow old. Like that’s the worst that can happen? Never to have learned, never to have lived seems worse, don’t you think?
Somehow as I read the first two words of the Julia Cameron title, ‘It’s Never Too Late To Begin,’ somehow, I heard the ending of an argument between a man and woman and the woman is shouting, “It’s Never!” That shouted in my head. Maybe that’s the result of too many hours watching shows and hearing fights. Still, can you hear that argument?
“Well, what’s it gonna be, Mabel? When are you going to grow up” [staying with the aforementioned Pan] “Are you going to pay these bills? Now or ever?”
The woman grabbed her hoodie from the coat rack. “Never! You made these bills. You pay them. It’s never!” She donned the sweatshirt and pulled up the hood. The door slammed satisfactorily behind her. She smiled as she realized Never is a good place to be. It was a dark an stormy night. Her kind of night.

I picked up the Kindle copy from Amazon and the Audible version to go with it. It made a perfect go to sleep book at night. I was able to have my girl dreams of space travel and meeting new creatures. Oops! If there’s one thing I learned from this book is that we don’t consider the aliens creatures. They are just beings that are different than us. Often in many ways, they are superior to us that we should expect that. But as the author points out just because beings that look like, maybe, um, a giraffe from earth, doesn’t mean it has the intelligence of a giraffe from earth. It may actually have the abilities to move back and forth in time or travel in a different dimension. This was a good lesson for me as I like to write science fiction about other beings on other planets.
The narrator, Rachel Dulude, brought this book to life in ways I don’t think could have been possible to just read or even with the text-to-speech. She was able to separate the characters and beautiful ways, so you knew exactly who is talking without even reading it.
I do want to read this book again. Maybe when I’m more awake, to see how it is she actually built these characters and her plot and her worlds. It was very well written! And I can hardly wait to be able to afford and read her next book in the series!
