Reno
It has been two winters since we lived in Reno. Some towns when I go to visit after leaving make me giddy (any of them near the beach) just being there. Some, like Riverside, bring me to a deep depression. Reno just seems surreal to me. Except for my family and friends, I feel very little for the town.
Here are the typical postcards. If you like casinos and bare mountains…

Sure these are pretty pictures, but I wouldn’t want to live here. My vacation was spent in family and friends’ homes. That is where the beauty lies in Reno.

We love Reno at Gastradamus. Who doesn’t love to gamble, Vegas baby Vegas. Thank you so much for the follow. Your thoughts on a few of our shorts would be incredible. Our heavy hitters are Eatin an Eskimo, A few good fries and Lardy Arms. If you comment I will be more than happy to promote your blog
It’s okay to visit. We lived there nearly a decade. We needed to get out of the city. We moved to a place most folks find boring but the sky changes all day long and that is the main visual here. Not much to scenery or things to do. But we have sky! I’ll come check out your blog now. 🙂
That’s what I’m talking about. Hey if your happy where you are now, than that is all that matters. I haven’t actually been to Vegas but I love the idea of going
Vegas is Reno on steroids! You might have fun at either spot. We’ve had fun times there too.
I find it hard to imagine people living in places like Reno. In films and stories it is the sort of place people visit, usually for all the wrong reasons!
I would guess the most people in Reno and Las Vegas are there for family and jobs. Like we were. But casino businesses are the drawing factor for a lot of vacationers. Both cities are huge, to me, and far too busy. I come from Southern California, near LA so I ran from the big cities. I miss the ocean. But not the busyness.
