So the dentists were very kind and gave me temporary fillings. Yeah, more than just the one that was the bad one. Even though I have insurance I will need to come up with $511 for the real deals. Good grief! I’m supposed to go back in two weeks. Sure they could pull the main bad tooth, which would be far less expensive, but that doesn’t seem to be a good answer for someone who has only 24 teeth since childhood. My mouth needed more room, they said back then. It still didn’t help keep my teeth straight, but I suppose it is better than it would have been had they not pulled. It is nice to know that my mouth looks healthy, per the dentist.
Well, back to watching stories and reading a few others, while knitting. At least the pain is gone. And the trip was fairly comfortable as I took the Advil two hours early. I know there are a lot of people here that make that trip every day. I don’t know how they do it!
I wish you all a healthy and pain-free life!
So glad the pain is gone! But that price tag is ridiculous! Pulling is always cheaper, sadly. That’s what I had done the last time rather than the bridge I got done before that. On the right side, the dentist convinced me to get a bridge after a pulling to keep the teeth from getting loose and “wandering” as he called it. After that, on the left side, and a couple thousand $$$ later, I just told him to pull it and skip the bridge! Thus far, no wandering teeth on that side and saved a bucket load of $$$. Haven’t been to a dentist in about a decade… no insurance and no money to cover it.
My teeth already wander. With only 24 there is a lot of room. But the $$$ and insurance that never is enough for anyone to get help with, may have me asking for the pull. Ugh!
I’m glad you are pain-free, except for your wallet that is. It’s such a shame that dental costs so much! I need to go myself, I just dread it because of that very reason, so I try to be very diligent in my oral health. I used to go on a regular basis but when we moved, my regular dentist moved away and I have not found a new one yet.
Insurance changes, moves, funds have all impeded my regular 6 months visits. And, yes, better dental hygiene. 😁
