I have to admit to getting the blues from Facebook and my cloud-sharing memories. Since we moved to Christmas Valley, we have enjoyed the snow.❄️It flurried on Halloween. We looked the Hallmark Thanksgiving with snow on the proper day. Then there had been my birthday snow. A kindness that didn’t show the birthday that my daughter and partner brought Kali to me. (Wow, four years ago.) And Christmas never disappointed. Hallmark wished they knew Christmas Valley!
Then last year, as if isolation wasn’t enough, the snow was stingy. This year it seemed almost as wrong. But on my birthday I got flurries. 😁
Yesterday, I decided to try my Diamond Painting. My friend sent me a Doctor Who. So I spent the day transferring the gems to the organizers. I had Pandora on the Bing Crosby Christmas music and Audible playing Les Miserables.

My brother heard the Christmas music playing, ‘Let It Snow’ 🌨️ and decided it was time to put up the trees. Knowing Rosey will be tearing it down as often as gravity demands, it is what it is today. Sorry. I’ll try to take a nighttime picture.

Notice outside? Yep! That is what gave us the energy.
SNOW!

It’s windy now, but another batch of snow is on its way!
Yay!

Ok, number one, I have many questions about your wop. Isn’t all that blue gonna drive you nuts? Lol! What are the dots for, I don’t use those, so maybe some trick I need to know? Also, why so many trays? And lastly, I found it just as quick to work from the bags they jewels come in than transfer them to little jars. I’m almost to the blue in my picture and I’m dreading it because so many bags of one color gets monotonous.
I’m happy you have the energy and spirit to decorate, I’m afraid I just don’t. After losing my dad, then getting COVID, and knowing we are going to my brother-in-law’s for Christmas Eve, I just don’t see the point.
I hate snow but it is pretty to look at, so enjoy!
Okay, let me see if I can answer your questions. My friend in Reno has fallen deeply into the DAs so I’m picking up on it from you and her. She has RA and there aren’t enough drugs to kill the pain so getting involved in the paintings helps distract her.
I don’t know if the colors will drive me nuts. If so I might alternate between the sunset I bought last January and this one. I can’t seem to sit in the position to place the gems for too long so I’ll have to be smart about working.
My friend brought the glue dots to my attention. The red stuff that comes with the kit seems to leave yuckies on the gems. The dots seem to do the trick without leaving residue.
Yeah, that’s more trays than I expected. Still, I can see if I get a couple projects going, it’ll keep it all safe from the cats. With each little partition labeled it helps a lot.
I can imagine how little energy I’d have to decorate if I went through all you’ve been through. As it is, I did very little outside of turning on the Christmas music. My brother did the rest. It was nice that he felt the urge. I just kept sitting and enjoying the weather. Picture window, no driving or working in it.
I think even a sprig of pine or a Christmas card pinned in view might help. Sometimes the whole thing is too much.
I do hope you keep getting better.❤️🤗
Thank you for all that! Yes, praise the Lord, I’m feeling better. In fact, I am going to get my recheck today because Dave was back to work yesterday- five days post getting the monoclonal antibodies. Today makes day five for me, so I’m praying I’m as lucky as him!
I don’t have much problem with my cat, she jumped on the work table one time yesterday and I told her to get off and she did. That was the first time she had bothered me while I was working in forever! I started on all my blue yesterday. I watched a good movie on Netflix called The Unforgivable, starring Sandra Bullock. Yea, my aches and pains let me do it about an hour at the most. 🤗 I understand.
Praying you are released as negative! I remember when my sons and one of their girlfriends (who seems to be the secretary of the family) and going through the tough parts then the anxious to get out and enjoy life again. Grateful for all of you that health prevails.
Speaking of prayers, I just got informed that our fellow Diamond Artist was just sent to the hospital with chest and jaw pain. So if you will whisper a prayer for Michele.
As for cats, they may soon get the idea. Keeping the WIP in the lid of a bin helps rescue stray drills and I can put the bin on top. That should protect it all, if I take a break of a couple days, it’ll be safe. These two cats are usually pretty good. But the closeness to the bright sunny window is the draw. I need to figure a safe path for them that doesn’t hit my hobby area.❤️
I understand totally, and I did say a prayer for Michele. 🙏🙏 Hoping it’s just stress or anxiety.
Thank you, we hope so, too.🤗
Oops, I meant to mention today I start the blue section. I look forward to watching The Unforgiven. Right now I’m trying to get through listening to the audio of Les Miserables.
Ok, but it is The Unforgivable 😁
Oops. I have seen it advertised on Netflix.🤭
