Still kind of tired so the week is going slow. ☹️
I got new glasses.

$15 at Amazon. Blue Light Protection, well, what it says on the box up there. The bottom part is a 3.50 and it gradually goes less. I wish the top was just clear as I still have to glance over the top for farther away, like television. But they help a lot for reading, knitting, and Diamond Painting.
Speaking of which:

Oh, and using the ruler is wobbly after hitting the middle section of the picture. Again, maybe there’s a learning curve.
My friend gave me new yarn. Are you feeling the giddiness I felt receiving it? Whee! ❤️❤️❤️🤗

I still haven’t climbed back into the editing chair. 😢 Maybe tomorrow or weekend will get me going.
It is slightly warmer lately, but the wind keeps me inside. Even so I’m cold. I’m working on my diet to see if that’s the problem. With some foods unavailable in our stores I’m needing to be creative. Time for some shifting around.

I like your new glasses, I also have an appointment with the eye doctor on Monday. I wonder if they will suggest the blue light for me. The only time I’m seeing we’ll to read is with naked eyes.
What’s that new Diamond Art pen do? I’ve never heard of a quick stick.
I would feel giddy with new yarn too, even though I’m not very good at my craft. Slowly making progress on my shawl or whatever it is, lol.
I wonder if knitting would be easier that crocheting. 🤷♀️
Thank you. I love the glasses, too. I wish the top part was clear but I’m learning to compensate. Good luck at your eye doctor’s. Let me know if blue blockers are recommended. I don’t find that part helpful or not.
I finally started using the QuickStik. I like it a lot. I keep the pink pens full of wax ready to go if I need them, I don’t like the wax all over everything. But it does the job and wiping when finished isn’t that hard. I have a blue pen that came with one of my projects. I keep it full of glue dots (usually just two dots will do) but sometimes it gets too sticky or won’t stick at all. That’s when I reach for the pink stuff. Then someone on a Diamond Art FaceBook page mentioned this QuickStik. It’s less than $10 as I recall. And so far it is very efficient.
I have been crocheting and a little knitting since I was twelve. Mostly crochet. When I joined the charity and they gave me yarn to make hats and other things, I thought I was in heaven. I could learn new abilities and play with yarn! Suddenly my left hand, the one that guided the yarn not the hook, started hurting. The leader of the group taught me how to loom knit. Luckily, since I had spent so many years working at JoAnn’s I had plenty of looms waiting the time and energy to play with them. I rarely hurt with loom knitting. LoomAHat has some great beginner YouTubes if you get the chance. Knifty Knitters are the loom sets we started out on. But Michael’s has a nice set, too. Needle knitting has been complicated for me. I love how it looks but still need a lot of help. But I can’t wait to see your shawl!
Right now it’s at the stage where it looks like a sweater for Cousin It, lol. I hope I can do the whole thing, but I need to spend more time on it.
Do you have to count a lot for Cousin It’s sweater? (😂) Or is it more an automatic crochet project?
I’m supposed to be counting, but I’m so short, I’ll probably just measure it on myself.
That’s what I prefer, too. Or using a ruler. I have such a hard time if a pattern calls for so many rows or sets of stitches. I spend more time ripping out and redoing.
Me too!
I’ve got 1.5 progressives in distance glasses… my wife just started using readers. She’s up to 2.5… this getting old stuff is a barrel of laughs. We share your pain.
My husband had his cataract surgery a couple years ago. Even still he needs the readers. Now he has hearing aids. I remember my grandma holding a magnifying glass to read. I was so excited by the glass and what it could do, I didn’t realize what it meant for her. Seeing the computer or sheet music at the piano had been the hardest to adapt to. I can’t wait to get my cataract surgery. I’m sure I’ll have to start over with readers. Getting old does suck but the alternative…😏
