Finally a hat for me!

Oh, that’s a KB, small gauge, 80 peg, adult size, orange loom. Two-by-two, knit, purl, brim. The yarn, Bernat Pipsqueak Stripes, is so soft and fluffy, you can’t see the stitches. The rest is flat knit stitch. I made it big enough to fold up the brim. Can’t wait to wear it!
No internet for a 24 hours. I shouldn’t be using my data. But… Unfinished projects. Will any be ready for Finished Friday?

I frogged my 10-stitch. Just didn’t like how it was tturning out.

Another pair of toe-up ankle socks with leftover Heart and sole yarn.
Well, half a pair of ankle socks. I had leftover yarn from the last pair and I hope there is enough to make these shorter ones. They were toe-up. They started with the Kitchener cast-on. A good tutorial is found here:

It fits and I am quite happy with how it feels. If I don’t have enough yarn when I reach the heel I will try to find something similar for that part. These are not supposed to shoe over the shoe, so… Here’s what has been done since the completion of the above:
I love toe-up Kitchener because there is no seam on the toe. With fibromyalgia, every seam or tag causes pain so these are so soft and pain-free for me. Yay!
Oh, by the way, that is a CinDWood fine-gauge, 56 peg loom. I think it is my favorite sock loom.

Finished this one Saturday. Thus no Stream of Consciousness. Hands and brain were busy!

It’s sad that I had to break into skein number two. (Just a couple of rows). That means that there won’t be enough to make another pair of socks like these, but, I will attempt to make a pair without the cuff, sort of hideaway socks.

Stats: CinDWood small gauge, 56 peg loom. Red Heart Heart and Sole yarn. Two-by-two ribbing for an inch and a half then an inch of flat knit stitch then the German Short-Row heel. Then six and a half inches of flat knit, then German Short-Row toe. I am loving making socks!
Yep, I finished another pair of socks. These are the same pattern as I posted last Friday. They are all the same yarn and color though the cell camera just doesn’t capture them the same. They are now in the donations bag.
There was enough of that yarn left over to make these cute booties on the KB fine-gauge baby bootie loom. Two-by-two cuff, German rows heel, drawstring toe.
Then I started missing making the dolls so I made another. I made him a little longer in the legs and arms than I usually do. I think I like that better. My biggest mistake was not stuffing the whole doll and then sewing closed. I tied the neck first but that makes the head too wrinkly. Note to self: don’t do that next time.

This week started with a pair of unmatched socks. I didn’t realize it until I took the picture. I kept rearranging until they ‘looked’ matched. But one cuff was two inches longer than the other.
So I tried to think how I could donate, with clear conscience, to my charity. I couldn’t. I thought maybe I should keep them for myself. Nah. So I went through all the yarn hoping to find more of the same color. So lucky to find more. Now the challenge was to make another perfectly unmatched pair.
I did it!
These are the same colors. The cell didn’t photograph these very well. Sorry.
Now I can donate happily! And I think I have enough leftover for one more pair!
These are on the KB Sock 2 loom. It is a larger gauge which makes it great for single strand worsted weight yarn.
The pattern is found in the package. I revised a bit to something like this:
Two-by-two brim (2″ and 4″ respectively) an inch of flat stitch, then heel, then 6 1/2″ e-wrap, then toe.
I love making socks!
For nearly a week my sweet Kali has been sick. Her own silly fault, but she’s a dog? She ate Kitty litter and then ate grass including a few foxtails. I’ve had four kids. Nothing is harder to take care of than a dog! I trained my children to hit the toilet so there wouldn’t be multiple projectiles going on. Kali figures all floor bedding and furniture are targets. Finally a dog savvy friend gave me advice and that seems to be helping right away. Whew!
My Acer computer doesn’t let me be on for very long without the screen going white and pretty rainbow colors so I am forced to use my tablet and tiny vintage so I’ve pulled back from being online.
Even still, the loom knitting continues. Here’s the latest sock and hat.
Made on the CinDWood 56 peg small-gauge. Two-by-two rubbing thing flat knit the rest to about a size 8 1/2.
Made on the orange small-gauge KB loom. Same stitches as the sock. I started with the Pipsqueak but needed to pull on my next skein of Bernard, not the same colors but just as fun as they stripe out so cool!
It’s reversible. White KB fine-gauge loom, Bernat Pipsqueak! (Did I mention I love this yarn?) Fold-up brim then flat-stitch knit the rest.
The sad part is it is too small for me. But I can think of a few people that might like it. This was my yarn so I prefer to gift it to a friend or family. I use the donated yarn for donation items.
