Two hombre socks nearly finished. I think I’ll have enough yarn left over for another hat. I love my Flexee looms and they are perfect for socks! Even toe-up!
Meanwhile, Doctor Who is keeping my distraction levels up and pain levels down. 😎

Just finished last night.
One joined Wednesday is a fun prompt brought to us by Linda G. Hill.
I finally have the half-fingered convertible gloves off the loom and ready to sew up. I need excellent light and the best glasses to do the sewing. These will go to the charity as this was donated yarn.
I found in my stash a huge ball of multi-colored yarn.
There’s got to be a couple hats and pairs of socks here. So here’s the hat is nearly half-finished
So with that holiday looming, I’ve got to be looming, even if the gifts get there late. Love is in the loom!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “magnet.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
I have four socks on my CinDWood X loom. All inches from the heel, then cuffs. I like working in pairs like this. The yarn is soft. I had worked to nearly this point when I realized that they would be too large. I frogged them all and restarted.

These half-fingered convertible gloves have been sitting here as I was stuck. I asked the creator of the pattern and tutorial, Scarlett Royal, what to do next, but I guess she’s busy with all that’s going on right now. So I did a little research and figured the decrease wasn’t a wrap and turn but a moving one loop to the next peg and knit over. I figure that row by row decrease is to create an edge to sew up around the wrist area. Then the cuff follows. I’ll add the tutorials at the bottom.
By the way, I’m using the KB Hers loom rather than the CinDwood as they have the same amount of pegs and I can work in pairs.
In the next tutorial is the way to do the decreases. I did make a pair of gloves from this tutorial for my husband a couple years ago. I used the same yarn and they turned out very nice. I can’t seem to find a picture.
This morning’s snow. Not predicted. Tomorrow we are supposed to have rain. We’ll see.
By noon, the snow is mud, except right in the front on the house’s north side.
Decided to add a pom-pom to the hat on the left that is going to the same house as the hat I finished and pommed on the right. I loved this gifted yarn to make gifts with.
The hat on the right has a rolled cuff, as I thought I had better get it finished soon. This was on the Flexee skinny loom. It was so fun to work with. To decrease, I followed this tutorial, which works out so nicely.
I played chicken with the yarn. At first, I tried a small pair of slipper socks, but there wasn’t enough. So I decided to try one more ear warmer. No yarn leftover, and a smaller head will have to wear it.
And look what Duolingo sent me in my email.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow where I age up from 07 to 17. 😉
On the main page at the top is the title Haven 1-4. If you go there you will find I have added 5-8. Or you can go here. HAVEN I am going to try and get the whole story up here. But still, need to keep editing Pandamapocalypse.
Oh, and I finished these slipper socks and started the next pair. I know! I had a lot of that yarn!
First, the disappointing word count of 44,235. That is 774 words short of the goal of 45,009. But I will try to make that up tomorrow.
On the other hand
Two more slipper socks, and the toe of the first of the next pair ready to go. I added a few rows on the multi-frogged X-Wing loom of four socks. So maybe the words suffer for the soft yarn? If I yarn better can I get more words? Curious minds want to know.
Meanwhile, my son and I are watching S.H.I.E.L.D.
We are into season 3. It is a Marvelous background to write to. It is fun and has similar energy that I think my NaNo has.
In the mornings after Kelly and Ryan and the View, oops and the News and GMA3 I am rewatching the Crown I just got to the Kennedy part. By the way, the choices for actors for those two was so wrong!
By the way, I finally finished Poldark. I had to leave it for a while because it added to the dispare of the day. And the cold parts were hard to watch when the weather got cold. But I did enjoy it and wished for more when it ended.
Having gotten almost my whole goal for today just after midnight, I had a nice non-writing day. I did get over 200 words making the total for the day 40,090. 40,009 was today’s goal. So I got to do a lot of knitting today and my hands were so happy. I finished another slipper sock and frogged a start of another sock and got the toe done so that my “X-Wing Knitter” now has two pairs of socks going. I miss my knitting! And one of the goals for this year was to actual needle knit socks and I saw a tutorial that makes me want to try again soon!
I will need these 9″ circular needles for this sock and I think I will need two of them because I like to work two at a time so they end up the same lengths.
The next ones I could make with what I have.
I love making socks and feel my legs love me most when I wear homemade socks. So rather than sitting here writing, I think I’ll finish something knitted so I can start on these kinds of needle patterns. And now I know where to find the tutes I’m looking for! 😉
