Just Stopping By …

To say, Hi!πŸ–

Editing

That is all. Recovering files from last novel and setting up for next one. Maybe a lot more than editing. At least I’m not freaking out about a lost book like I have been since my computer crashed. The light at the end of the tunnel isn’t a train of doom.

That is all. Just checking in.

I love all these ideas. Thought others might enjoy them, too.

I just started looking at all my WIP. A couple just finished but lots of choices to work on.

Baby hat, top left, just finished yesterday. Flexee loom. Ran out of that soft bumpy white. Found a similar yellow yarn to decrease the crown. Two new hats just started on the same Flexee looms.
Gifted yarn goes to another gifty hat. Finished today. I didn’t make it on the Flexee loom but the medium size KB fine-gauge. I tried to do the 6-row decrease, but didn’t like how that turned out. So I picked up the loops on a cable needle set. Then I decreased actual knitting stitches. Not as happy as when I do it on Flexee looms. But it turned out okay kid-sized.
Two socks for donation. Need to finish cuffs then done. KB His/Hers (Hers)
Two socks on my ‘X-Wing’ CinDWood large X-loom fine-gauge. I’m nearly to the heels.
Two more socks with ‘Milk Cotton’. Just barely finished toe. Same X-Wing.
How I store WIPs on X-loom to keep yarn and project safe and clean. I like working on this loom, though I feel it should play music. It feels like a harp. It isn’t as portable as other looms.

Well, there are other looms and projects to start or finish. I need to make more toys. Time to get busy. Fingers are wanting a yarn fix. πŸ˜‰

The Bluest EyeThe Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I wish I would have read this any other year but 2020. In a year I am reading to escape pain, depression and just trying to breathe through the smoke, this book took me deeper and sadder and more disturbed. I am sorry anyone has to deal with the many problems the main characters in this book had to go through. Though this was a historical fiction, much of the bigotry, and abuse goes on still.

Toni Morrison did the narration of her own book and kept the story alive. Her writing is known for the poetic prose. I did appreciate that, but I found it made the story even more disturbing. I do plan to read more of her books. But not right now.

Good Evening

Had a good night talking with my now healthy son. πŸ˜πŸ’œ

I found this very interesting written by a man very important to my husband and myself. Very apt.

Thermometer Thursday

Not a lot to say today. Except, it was 95F today and expecting 100F tomorrow. Blogging on my phone to avoid hot laptop. Regaining my daily posting goal. No info on son’s test yet.

Webs Are Up

But I’m not. Fevers running to 100.1. I’m sure it’s a bladder infection. Two things I’ve never had but…2020! Toothache and BI. I slept most of the day. Ugh!

Hope you’re having a better day.

Using data on phone. Still here’s today’s finished sock.
