Silence is not my favorite. In fact, for the last week or so, my favorite part of the day is afternoon when the thunderstorms start. Even today, I had to shut down my computer after the one-one thousand, two-one thousand then BOOM! And shortly after we would see something like this:

lights our sky. I leave the curtains open as long as I can to catch the show. By the way, that was a shot from Pixabay. Wish I could take photos like that!

Anyway, you would think that when the storm moves on it would be silent. Nope. We have frogs that croak whole stories to each other the rest of the night. Only in early morning do they finish their ribbing.

Early morning is never silent. I think every bird in all creation hang out near our house. I take the dog out for the first ‘outside’ and the chirps and cackles and cock-a-doodles can almost deafen you.

Even when we turn off the TV and sleep for the night our house shakes with noise. Every person in this house snores, even the dog and cats.

(Not a picture of any of our cats, yep, Pixabay.com)

I think I would freak out if silence ever overcame my world. I would expect an earthquake or a need to invest in hearing aids.

Thank you, Linda G. Hill for this Stream of Consciousness Saturday challenge.

Tuesday Tidbits

I have been writing here every day since the beginning of the year. Today I have nothing! So let’s just do a Stream of Consciousness Tuesday!

We’ve been binging a lot around here. I’m not writing or editing. I am just trying to finish my short socks. I might finish tomorrow or Thursday. So let’s see what have we watched?

We started watching Cuckoo but somewhere in the process, they dropped the main character and his wife actor. I don’t know if I want to continue even though the mom and dad figures are funny.

I rewatched The Rain as the new season come on Friday, I think. It’s a different sort of survival show without zombies!

I finally gave in and watched Roswell. I kind of like it! Didn’t expect to. That happens to me a lot!

Another surprise was Wine Country. I laughed so hard. I could see my friends and I in this film!

My son demanded I watch Antman and Wasp. It was a cute show to knit to!

Did I ever mention Russian Doll? That was interesting!

Another interesting show to knit to, The Society. Ended too soon!

I tried and failed to watch Santa Clarita Diet the first time but when you get the need for something to knit to you try things again. This time I laughed a lot! If you don’t take it seriously these real-a-tors are truly funny!

Well, that’s enough for today. I still need to get a shower before bed. If I have the energy tomorrow I will try to cut my hair. It’s getting way too long. I feel like spiders are running across my face every time the rotating fan hits me. I’m seriously thinking I’d like a head mesh to keep the bugs off this summer.

Did I tell you, we have frogs this year? The one guy used to hang around our back porch and it sounded like a big duck. SO loud! Then he moved between our house and the neighbor’s. But now that the neighbor is watering a lot I hear a lot of frogs over there. Last night we kept our window open just to hear the frogs. After a bit, it sounds like noisy crickets. I hope we can record the sound. I think I will enjoy hearing it when it is cold next winter.

Speaking of weather, we are looking at three to five days of rain. Can’t complain. As the Oregon commercial says, ‘It’s raining trees!’ And helping prevent fires and slowing the summer heat!

What have you been watching? How’s your weather?
