Throw Away Thursday
Naps and bingeing on the last two episodes of Vampire Diaries. I am still nearly brain dead and not sure if I am up to making the long blog that the adventures of yesterday and the meanderings in vampireville want told. The previous weird sentence brought to you by fibro-fog. It is similar to the feelings you get when catching the flu, or maybe a case of hangover. That one I have never experienced just heard about from many people.
How do you regular bloggers do this on your off days? I do have plenty to say about Kali’s adventures on the bus and Bend. I just want to do it justice and learn what I can about how good it was and how to improve our next experience, if my body can recover.

And I learned a lot from Vampire Diaries that I wanted to record for myself and see what others have felt. I don’t know if any of you remember but I used to find Vampires, Zombies, and Werewolves and the like just silly. But I have learned that they are actually vehicles to character and plot development.
I just don’t have enough in me right now to manage the thoughts I want to put out there. I’ll hit these on the next couple of days. Needless to say, I am alive and have a lot to share. So is Kali. I can’t say the same for all Vampires.

I have over 30 drafts. I don’t write every day that I post 🙂
I live in a house where everyone else loooooves the supernatural, and I remain persnickety.
I’m learning! But I do appreciate you strong bloggers’ suggestions. I’ll get it yet!
As for the supernatural, it has taken me a while. I am a sci-fi buff. But my writing has taken me all over the place. My friends and family were more in the supernatural. Somehow one of my friends was over visiting and we started watching Vampire Diaries. I liked the witch. Sort of liked the other two friends. I like the struggle to do the right thing. Add a supernatural power and the right thing is harder, more challenging. Of what moral bent the person was before becomes a stronger pull after being bitten. I love the storylines. Now that I have read so much more of this kind of fantasy, I can watch it. Sci-fi is a part of the element but without leaving our planet we can see what kinds odd things humans can bump into. There are strong warnings in these kinds of programs and dystopias and disaster films. The power-hungry, fame-strivers in government or science could destroy us all. But those who are altruistic make the best leaders–though often the most boring of characters.
Anyway, this is going into my draft of the same topic! Thanks for making me think it through. I had to be 50 or older when I got to where these were interesting to me. So take your time supernatural grasshopper. 😉
Even when you don’t have enough, just put down the ideas that pop in as they come in your draft. It’s pretty helpful. I haven’t watched Vampire diaries in quite a while.
Thank you. I will keep that in mind. It is an idea that’s been given to me before. I want to make sure I write everyday and blogging seems a way to do that. It will be nice when I have a few ready-to-gos in my draft file but not so many that I don’t touch base with my daily practice. Does that make sense? In fact, this reply is giving me a few ideas to plug into drafts.
I never liked vampires–or any of those non-human entities. I just couldn’t understand the genre. Now I see these quirks as vehicles to tell broader stories. I could accept witches so When I saw Vampire Diaries I fell for Bonnie. And I liked that the main female leads were strong non-vampires. Of course, that changes as it was necessary. But the longing to get back to humanity seems the theme. But I got side-tracked and forgot to watch for ages. I like to binge better than wait week to week. It’s on Netflix if you want to try that.
Thank you for your comment because it did help my thought processing on these two subjects.
