Where have I been since mid-August? Here it is mid-October. Basically, I’ve been MIA for two months.
I was enjoying Summer. Barefeet. Shorts. Warmth. Less pain. Knitting and reading continued. Writing and sharing didn’t. Sorry. I’ll talk more about all this later.
This is my first Stream of Consciousness Saturday for ages and I must go with the flow.
There is a reason that I hate shutting my curtains at the end of the day. Even though family members comment that everyone can see in and isn’t it creepy. Here is what I see right out my window.
It’s hard to decide whether the Season 6 disk 2 episode one, the lack of light, or that beautiful sunset needs my attention most. Course as I’m writing it has already happened. The light is on, the curtains pulled and watching Meg attempting to leave to find Glenn to tell him she’s pregnant as the whole community of Alexandria falls.
Yes, summer was full of binges. Game of Thrones, again, This is Us, Orange is the New Black, Wentworth, and so much more!
All the time knitting. Needle knitting and loom knitting. I have two going on three bags full of toys and hats to give to Hat Huggers. I think I took a picture of everything so far so I will share with you soon.
My husband’s shoulder (broken nearly a couple years ago January) was causing trouble so many trips (an hour and a half each way) to the doctor’s and ER. Seems it is nerve damage. But all these trips take it right out of me. It would be okay, but the road up and over the hills is so rough that neither of us could handle it without painkillers. And for days we find we have no energy. By the way, even my (40 something) son has these issues with that trip. We did a shopping day on Wednesday and find, even today, there is no energy and we are still hurting. If only they could get those roads smoother it might make that all more bearable.
Oh… NaNo. How many of you are planning to do this? I want to. I usually do it. SO I figured if I got busy writing here I might be ready for 1,667 words daily in a couple weeks. YIKES! A couple weeks!
SoCS is brought to us by Linda G. Hill. Thanks for so many fun ways to jump (back) into blogging, Linda!

I won’t ruin it for you but just let me say, don’t get attached to anybody on that show! I’m on the final season (season 9) right now.
I don’t close all my blinds in the house either, but we do the bedroom.
I crochet but haven’t done it in a long time.
I usually do nano, not sure about this year yet. Good to see you back!
I don’t think someone could ruin shows for me. My son read the comics and has been spitting spoilers for a while. As for Got I read them and have a general idea where they’re going. All shows I watch over and over. I like to watch directors’ cuts and outtakes and writers comments and everything like that. I feel it give my own writing wings by knowing how everyone involved uses their talents.
As for bedrooms, well, since the last few years we have had to live in the bedrooms as the front rooms were too cold… we just are boring to watch, I suppose. 🙂
I used to exclusively crochet but it started hurting my hand (the right one). With the knitting, I have learned to do both continental and right-handed and can change the size and shape of the loom and directions as my hands require. Darned arthritis but I get around it. I wish I could learn to left-hand crochet so I could continue on projects that way, too.
Thank you for your comments. I hope you find a way to do NaNo. I find even when things are hectic or I have no ideas it is the best time to JUST WRITE. It isn’t the winning, it is setting up writing habits and trying out ideas.
Thanks for the welcome back.
Yes, you’re right. I find that the weeks I’m busiest, I seem to find the time to write. Hopefully that trend will continue!
Yes, let’s hope for productive!!! 🙂
Well it’s good to read you again. I’m sorry to read about the hills. Bad deal. When I drive in the mountains, I feel like that, too. Somehow 11 hours down on 65 is nothin like 11 hours across on 70. Sorry to know your husband’s shoulder still gives him so much grief as well. Enjoy your discs and your view 🙂
Thanks. Music and scenic beauty are great pain relief. Hopefully, the doctors will find him answers. Could just be getting old.. you know it is not for sissies!
That’s the rumor!
😀
nice information
Thank you!
