Grammarly VS One-Liner

Well. There you go. It looks just like the corrections Grammarly gives me in my own writing. You all probably already see how I live on the run-on sentence. I try to fix it, but it is how I talk. I did not write the quote. That was a capture from a share on Facebook. And ‘is done’ is when the whole thing got underlined to be rewritten.

By the way, I used the Snipping Tool for that capture. I’m hoping others can see and read it better than my old eyes. Hopefully, you get the idea.

Found on Facebook:

That fencer-x does a spectacular one-liner!

Thanks Yve for the idea. And Linda G Hill for the prompt.

How I Managed to Post My Review

I wrote and posted the review in GoodReads. Then I copied and pasted the URL as the cursor is pointing to here:

See where the cursor is pointing? Then I followed this method to get to the classic editor so I could get the results I usually get before block editor.

I’m putting this here to help me remember how I got there. And hopefully, help others that feel a little lost. Block works for me on the phone but in trying to copy and place my review it wasn’t working on the laptop. But yay! Wraparounds!

Sorry for the poor quality of pictures. My cell isn’t the best camera.

Ice (1/2986 #3)Ice by Annelie Wendeberg
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This might not have been a good time for me to read this book or series. And especially as a bedtime read. This was incredibly dark and violent. There are actually trigger warnings on the blurb on the GoodReads page. But I don’t think it was triggery for me. Just too much for reading during an uncertain time.

If you are looking for an apocalyptic/dystopian series and can handle dark and violent, this may be for you.

Monday’s Making

Mitten caps done. Half-fingers done. Now onto cuff and the sewing. I hope to finish tomorrow. NaNo characters are calling me!

Well, On My Phone…

I found classic editor up in the three dots to the right of PUBLISH. See screen shot below.

Mine is an android phone if that helps. The three dots change after the selection of classic editor to the next screenshot.

I hope that helps others who are trying to figure it out. I’ll play with the laptop version next time I need a break from knitting. 😁

Happy Sunday!

I Hate the Block Editor

So instead of writing here I’m knitting until I feel less angst from this nasty way of writing. And NaNo is coming so I don’t have time for this nonsense!

I’m making my pair to be convertible as I am adding a mitten cap for the cold. These will be for the charity, Hugger Hats.

I have a friend that recently started blogging but she is upset with the change. I wish I could encourage her, but I find this new way so confusing. Any suggestions for us?

One-liner Wednesday

This prompt should be easy as pie, if only I could find the ingredients!

One-liner Wednesday is a Linda G. Hill creation.

I hear great one-liners all week. Even today I heard a couple on The 100. Did I write them down? Nope. By the way, I’m on my second watching. I can’t wait to see the new season!

Fog by Annelie Wendeberg

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I found the first book in this series, Cut, so interesting I had to get started on Fog. This one was harder for me to deal with. Shooting children and or bad guys in the fog, nope. I know it is part of what needs to be done in that world, but I just couldn’t handle all of that. My dreams after were so upsetting. Still, I have already started reading the next book, Ice.

I feel in all the books I am missing bits and pieces of what I would have liked to know. The writing is immediate, keeping the reader engaged, even when they don’t want to be, so I overlook what questions I have in hopes of answers later.

I’d love to see what others think of this book and the series.
