Butter the top. Butter the bottom. Put the meat in the middle. Best way to deal with a delicate issue with a friend or foe.

It is hard advice to follow when in the middle of conflict. But taking the time to think thus may help both parties find a peaceful solution.
Meanwhile, butter in coffee? I like butter. I love black coffee. But … okay, I’ll look up the recipe and let you know when I’ve tried it.

Popcorn is best with butter.
(Can anyone tell I’m trying to get healthy?)
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “butter.” Use it as a noun, use it as a verb, use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

Coffee and butter….yuck!!
Maybe we haven’t followed the recipe? It’s going to be something I might have to sneak up on. Black coffee and tea is my choice.
Oh don’t knock it til you try it! You have to make it and then blend it in a good blender like my Ninja and it doesn’t stay on your lips. See, it replaces creamer, that with coconut oil, cinnamon, stevia, and a dash of vanilla make bulletproof coffee and it’s delicious!
I bet my hubby would like it. I never make his coffee for all the stuff he puts in it. Luckily he makes mine cause it’s easy. BTW, that extra bit that makes the coffee bulletproof is expensive ! Still I’m curious.
Butter the top. Butter the bottom. Put the meat in the middle. Best way to deal with a delicate issue with a friend or foe. … I never heard that… but it makes sense, and is phrased memorably. I have no doubt that I can make excellent use of it in my life!
Thank you. I know I used the phrase often with my kids as they have quoted times it worked for them. It’s hard to remember when tempers fly.
Here is the recipe, just remember to put the ingredients into a bullet or a good blender to emulsify the coconut oil and butter.
14 oz hot coffee
1 T butter
1 T coconut oil (I use unrefined)
Stevia to taste
A dash of Ceylon cinnamon
A 1/4 tsp of pure vanilla extract
Whip all that in a blender cup and pour into your favorite coffee mug or thermos.
Thank you for this. My blender was a wedding gift from 1971, so probably not ready for this. But I’ve been wanting those bullet blenders. So maybe soon I can try it. The website for bulletproof coffee adds something else, MCA or something like that. I looked that up and I think it was $30-45. Not something I can afford right now.
Not necessary. The coconut oil has that in it naturally.
Cool! More chance I might try sometime.
