Remember my play to increase activity and self education? Do one more thing in a room, dig deeper in possible hobby. Like, remember my poor Lucky Bamboo?

My son’s significant other, Rizza, gave me the plant when we first met, probably a decade ago. But it was more or less ignored. But I started Googling Lucky Bamboo care.
I setup a care system. Then BAM! UTI.
Today after a couple of weeks sleeping, I was able to take care of the first Baby Bamboo.
Sadly, I’ve still not gotten on the bike or played piano, or diamond painting. I did manage about 4 rows of a pair of socks. That’s something, huh?
Energy is returning slowly, but I wish for more, one smidgen more.

You will get there, Dar. Just keep being kind to yourself!
Let yourself take time to get better. Do the simple things. Knit, read, diamond pictures, etc. The bike isn’t going anywhere.
My mantra is, one thing a day. Today’s one thing was special. My daughter had the Grand Opening of the TORCH Center (TORCH Literary Arts). City officials, tv personalities, the Irish consulate director and many friends, fellow poets and writers from all around the country. She has worked so hard to make this space happen. I’m so proud of her. As I was being introduced to folks today, they would ask my name & I responded “I’m Amanda mom” or just call me MamaSue.
Then thing 2 happened. I was notified by ADT that my friend had fallen and an ambulance was dispatched. I’ve been friends with Barbara for about 15 years. She’s 84 and has had a rough time, physically, for the past year. She’s fallen about 5 times since last summer. Nothing broken, just bruised up. She uses a walker to get around, her balance is iffy. She was taken to the hospital and checked out & no serious injuries. I was able to bring her home. So tomorrow my thing will be checking on her and helping around her house so she doesn’t try to do too much. That’s why I say, allow yourself time to get well.
It’s 2:30am and I better try to get some sleep. Take care, cuz.
Sorry it took so long for me to answer your comment, Cuz. I did appreciate your kind advice.
I like your mantra. Congratulations to you and Amanda. Funny how we are just as happy being Mama of the writer, plumber, scientist, good people we’re blessed to encounter with long history of love.
So sorry about your second thing. It seems to happen a lot more now. I’m sending you such deep hugs and prayers for you and your friend.๐โค๏ธ
