Here are this week’s questions:
1. Do you stay up to toast in the New Year?
I’m always up at midnight. So mostly I’m up. I don’t party. But my husband, family and friends share our wishes of the best for the new year.
2. Have you ever kept any New Year Resolutions made in the past?
Long ago a bestie and I made the decision not to resolve but to write possibilities. Things we’d like to see happen and put our thoughts towards. Often, for us, that works as a better way to find where to apply our energy.
3. Do you have any plans for 2026?
My aim for everyday is to improve myself. I am the only one I can control and that is a challenge on my best days.
4. What was the highlight/s of 2025 for you?
Getting to go to Crater Lake with family.
Getting to know my adult children better.
Camping with my friend, Yve, in Tumalo State Park

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “plot.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
My stream is more of a dot.
COVID dries up every thought.
How could one come up with a plot?
Well, sadly, this is all I got.

Merry Milo Christmas Eve/Eve! Especially, Yve.

Linus and Lucy, page one is improving. It looks so easy! Not if you have no rhythm.🥴
Oh Holy Night is coming along, as is When Christmas Comes to Town. I’m enjoying sight reading all my Christmas songs.
I’m a little concerned as my husband just tested positive for COVID two days ago. He wasn’t doing too badly until this evening. Now there’s a bit of a cough and he’s tired. This means the rest of us are taking precautions.
We finished all of Orphan Black and the sequel. It was fun. Now we are deeply into Stranger Things.
It’s been raining, now it’s so cold! But still no snow. We may still have a white Christmas.

My bit for Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday.

Today has been not only UNusual, it has been spectacular! You know how it feels when you get to chat with someone you haven’t talked with in years?
I feel like I met with royalty. Well, in my life that’s where family, Cuz’ns land. I’m still smiling.
We reminisced about simpler times hanging out at our grandparents’ home, ringer washers, clotheslines, washtub swimming pools, the kindest people who raised our family. The Sunday afternoons, after church in a house that love built. And that felt usual to us. And we felt blessed.
