Quickie

Long drive day. Last left eye recheck. Guess what? After legally blind it is 20/20. I still need to train my brain and get the right eye surged (that isn’t a word is it?) Then we correct what we can with glasses.

Whew! Pooped! Still…

Oh how I wished to be done today but I have a few more scattered diamonds to put on. So tomorrow it will be fully diamonded. πŸ˜‰

Can’t wait to move on to the next one.

Hey, WordPress, I do my Duo and then I blog. EVERYDAY! Why do you have me at such a low number?

Almost finished with my dragon.

Maybe finishing tomorrow.

Second sock nearly caught up with first sock. Heels start tomorrow.

And memoir is coming along.

I only need 8,590 words and can get there writing 1,227 a day. No prob, right?

Here’s the latest projects that have seen progress.

Most of the wing, arm, to the waist, done. I am loving this project. Wish my body let me stay with it more.
Charity yarns, charity socks. I think they will be striped or scrappy.

Spa sock for a gift. This is cotton and acrylic. Very soft and will work well for post bath and lotion

This wool doesn’t have enough strength to be socks so after trying and frogging twice, I decided to make a hat or two.

I did get a new scene going for editing book 2. Not as much as I want but, hey, it’s something. Progress.

We got a little rain and snow this morning, but I think we are into Spring again. The mesquite bushes are getting leaves. I do hope we get more spring showers. Our area is in exceptional level of draught. That is dryer than extreme.

Happy Spring, everyone!

This was fun today. When my glue dots quit working I used the QuickStik. It worked very well!

This is about 1/3rd done. I thought I was at the halfway point but realized that I still have part of it rolled up at the bottom. But isn’t that bird cute?

There isn’t much finished since yesterday, but the spa slipper is nearly to the heel stage.

I like this cotton blend and wish I had lots more. I think these slippers will feel quite nice on tired feet.

When I post this, I plan to write a new scene for my book rewrite. This part of the writing process is harder than that first read/edit. I have to think more while trying to keep my creative brain open to new ideas. So there’s that. I’ll let you know if the scene works out.

How’s your Friday?

How One Night Led to Forever
β€” Read on vocal.media/poets/it-must-have-been-fate

Its a little late for Valentine’s, but it’s heartfelt just the same. I’m sharing it here because the more eyes I get on it, the higher the chances are I could win a prize in the contest. I could win from $50-$2,500!

Making Monday

Sunset on a beach is more done than not. These are square drills. Drills are the tiny plastic diamonds that create the mosaic effect. For my eyes, it is harder to get the squares lined up than the tiny round disc drills. Still, I am hooked and love my Diamond Painting time.
Another hat more done than not. That white yarn is chenille. Not the same as the last hat. This was thicker and harder to work. Still, if you’ve ever had a chenille robe, you know it is soft and warm. I still have more of the mohair. Thought I’d change it up so this hat won’t be a candy corn.

On the editing front I’m making headway. Haven Above and Beyond (I think I’ll be changing the title) is more fun than I remember writing 20 years ago. Since this was my second novel I can see my writing has improved, yet I make many similar errors still. Anyway, the words corrected and moved into yWriter7 as of last night 14,365. I made my goal for this month 25K. But there are 56,916 in the project to weed through.

Outside of whoopie, what are you making this Monday?

How prompts bring such a wide range of creative results! Thanks Willow!

Fortune

Fickle finger of fate
Or fortune what ever you
Receive from heaven
Take and use to the full
Unceasingly grab what’s given.
Never look a gift horse in the mouth.
Every moment counts
