No internet for a 24 hours. I shouldn’t be using my data. But… Unfinished projects. Will any be ready for Finished Friday?

I frogged my 10-stitch. Just didn’t like how it was tturning out.
An adult hat.
Another sock, another loom.
This week started with a pair of unmatched socks. I didn’t realize it until I took the picture. I kept rearranging until they ‘looked’ matched. But one cuff was two inches longer than the other.
So I tried to think how I could donate, with clear conscience, to my charity. I couldn’t. I thought maybe I should keep them for myself. Nah. So I went through all the yarn hoping to find more of the same color. So lucky to find more. Now the challenge was to make another perfectly unmatched pair.
I did it!
These are the same colors. The cell didn’t photograph these very well. Sorry.
Now I can donate happily! And I think I have enough leftover for one more pair!
These are on the KB Sock 2 loom. It is a larger gauge which makes it great for single strand worsted weight yarn.
The pattern is found in the package. I revised a bit to something like this:
Two-by-two brim (2″ and 4″ respectively) an inch of flat stitch, then heel, then 6 1/2″ e-wrap, then toe.
I love making socks!
One bit of a compression sock. The compression is the tighter stitches at the ankle and at the toe. It is quite comfortable. I made it on my new KB Sock 2 that my brother bought for me.
This pair of wool ankle socks I made on a small gauge, CinDWood, 56 peg loom.
I love this loom most of all of them. The pattern is adapted from the many that are on the packages of the other looms, and many I found online. Two by two Knit/Purl brim. a couple inches for the ankle, then the heel decreases and increases per foot size. Then about 6 1/2 inches for the next part, just straight flat knit. The toe matches the heel. These were fun and easy and I am wishing I could keep these but all the socks pictured here were with donated yarn so these will be donated to our charity Hugger Hats.
One good thing about three-hour, round trip doctor appointments: Listening to books on CDs! (Dance Hall review coming soon!)
By the way, the appointment went great. C had his Staples out and the doctor was pleased with the recovery. C is having very little pain and seems to be doing well with NO pain pills since the operation.

I had hoped to be finished with these two project by today. Oh, well. I love the soft yarn, Bernard Pipsqueak. I’m making a small adult hat. The other is a slipper sock of Sugar and Cream cotton purple for cuff and for the rest of the sock a combination of blues and purples. Ah, well, maybe next week I will be finished with these.
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

It has been several days since I finished book one. I still feel caught in the afterglow of it.. While I was reading it I binge-watched the show. First with my son and brother. Then with my friend. Then with my husband. So this review includes the book, the audible version and the show.
I borrowed the book from the local e-library. I noticed it came with text-to-speech. But the show was full of Garlic so I didn’t want to hear the TTS mispronouncing those words. So I used my credit to pick up the Audible version to whisper synch.
Narrated by: Davina Porter, made the story come alive. Her voice isn’t like the actor of the show which was a bit of a surprise but Davina did a great job acting the different characters of the book.
I have to admit that I will more often suggest the book over the show. The explicit rape scenes may trigger those who watch the show. The book leaves more to the imagination. It spent more time on the story itself than details of the acts.
My only complaint of the book was that it was so long I didn’t finish before it was due back. Who knew that the email that says a book is due on Monday that you don’t have most of Monday to finish? They took the book back Sunday night at midnight. I was forced to buy the book with only 10% left to read. Oh, well, now I can share it with my husband and read it again someday.
With the trigger warning for the show, I highly recommend the book, audio, and show for everyone. Those days spent back in history, especially in Scotland were dreamy! Wish I could actually go and experience the whole UK.

Though I like making the blanket and getting better at it, I don’t like sewing on the bits and pieces. I think they are cute and I think someone will find comfort in this toy, I need a break. And I bet you guys need something else to look at here.

Sorry to non-yarners, but when I feel challenged I answer the call. Today I started a lavender lovey Blanket double toy. The blanket itself takes a couple days of constant counting. The acorn pattern is fairly simple, if you pay attention. ADD makes that hard so I have tricks to help me stay on track. I had to print out the pattern and Mark where I was at all times. I had to put a marker at the beginning of each set so I could count rows to be accurate. My first try at the blanket, I had to rip it all out as I blogged a few days ago. It is the bind-off that gives me the most trouble. The one I shared two days ago I made with the drawstring bind-off. I figured the crochet border hides the sin. Today I took my time to listen to Denise’s tutorial. It turned out so nice I didn’t want to put the border on. But tightening the loose loops is always hard for me. It took three hours to get it done. Here’s the blanket without a border.

I used the safety eyes instead of sewing them.
