I woke early this last official day of winter to this scene:
It was still snowing with big flakes maybe a inch or more across. Yet there was blue in the sky above our house.
Then a huge monster came with it’s mouth agape.
I wish we would have had more snow this winter. Maybe it will be a rainy spring Or pre-summer as I call it.

Where did this week go? Seems like just yesterday was Sunday. Today was actually the first day we had blue skies. It is been so smokey from the fires in California and Oregon.
Since my computer broke down I’ve been doing everything on the phone or on my Kindle Fire. It is much harder to blog and certainly harder to put in pictures or make something interesting. But we’re working on getting a laptop working for me again. I’m trying to get ready for NaNo and all kinds of things like that so–
I just wanted to stop in and say everybody’s fine here and I hope everybody out there is doing okay. Stay safe and try to find breathable air.
What a great day this was! I finished a lot of editing and a little writing on Pandamapocalypse.
Then I completed daughter’s socks! At Last!!!!!
These were toe-up, Kitchener cast-on. Mostly flat knit stitch. Four-by-four ribbing with purls and true-knit stitch. And that last bit was the hard part. True-knit feels like purling and so I had to watch what I was doing all the time. I know there are people who love that stitch but I just can’t get a good rhythm going. Oh, and that is the Hers loom of the KB His/Hers set. I now have three sets but the last two sets are smaller than the first set that I actually broke a peg. I like the smaller set. They have the same amount of pegs but the feel is better. Now on to the boyfriend’s socks, yeah I still have the ribbing to go.
While sitting here being productive the sky put on quite the show:
In spite of the fact that it is supposed to be Spring, we are still only in the 50s during the day and freezing and below at night. Remind me in August and September how I complained as we have fires during 100-degree heat. I’ll apologize. I promise! And with skies like the above, the complaint is only a minor one.

I think it is the dog in the sky. I think I smell that wet stuff.
And the same stuff over there.
And do you guys know what MommaDar said to me? She said that wet stuff is called rain. And rain is what makes this:
She calls weeds, I call grass and I like it to chew.
That turns into this which makes MommaDar A-choo!
But the buds on these trees, especially the little apple tree makes her happy. So the Wet Stuff can come help us. Thanks for walking with me!
