Life in the Fasting Lane: The Essential Guide to Making Intermittent Fasting Simple, Sustainable, and EnjoyableLife in the Fasting Lane: The Essential Guide to Making Intermittent Fasting Simple, Sustainable, and Enjoyable by Jason Fung
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I borrowed this audio copy from the e-library on Libby. I have had a lot of fun listening to this book. Even though it is non-fiction, I found it hugely entertaining.

The narrators, Brian Nishii, Courtney Patterson, Piper Goodeve, had me fooled as I truly thought they were the authors. Their voices were energetic and friendly. I have heard Doctor Jason Fung on YouTubes. By the way, look him up; fascinating and informative videos.

The three authors give you different views of Intermittent Fasting. The Doctor gives scientific, medical information. Megan Ramos gives the advice she gives to her clients, and Eve Mayer talks about her weight loss journey. I like having the book broke up that way. It’s nice not getting overwhelmed by the medical data, or too much advice told in one spot, or too much of a person’s journey without knowing the science of why certain things happened.

Okay, maybe I didn’t explain this well enough. This might show how much I enjoyed this audiobook. I plan to buy this so I can revisit it from time to time. Glad I got to borrow it from the library first.

Ta-Da Tuesday

Went to my PCP today. Guess what? I’ve lost 6 pounds! Yay! It’s working. And becoming less work as I learn. I’ve picked up the paper copies of The Diabetes Code, The Obesity Code, and The Complete Guide to Fasting, all by Dr. Jason Fung. I read The Diabetes Code and The Cancer Code. You can click on the underlined titles to see my reviews. I’m getting ready to read The Obesity Code. Dr. Jason Fung can write a thought-provoking book while displaying a sense of humor.

Intermittent Fasting using low-carbs high fat or keto is proving to be easier and easier. I seem to be doing quite well on one very healthy meal a day. That means a 20 or like today 22 hours of fast and a two to four-hour window to make sure I’ve eaten well.

I was delighted that my team at the doctor’s office knew about and encouraged this method of achieving better health.

A to Z, D

Drape closing time of the day. Daytime is ending with a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately, the pinks and reds my eyes saw, don’t show up for the picture. Darn!

I didn’t take a walk today. It was so cold and the wind was blowing hard. I hate to admit it but I missed doing it. I am watching a lot of YouTubes about Keto and Doctor Jason Fung, Intermittent Fasting. They are helping me see more things I can do to get healthier. I don’t want to claim the word Diabetes for a D word, but can’t get away from it!

By the way, the dog isn’t happy with today either. Not only is she so depressed she is sleeping, she seemed to pull that picture out of focus. (Hehe)

Daily editing for CampNaNo still happened. 9592 words went through Grammarly and I fixed a few of the mistakes. I am still happy with the story and can’t wait to get my series out into the world. I hope my appointment with the doctor tomorrow will help me with my vision issues.

I am back in the crazies of What Day Is It Anyway? And only just now did I realize that this is Monday and once again I missed my writing group. I guess I need to start putting DATES on my calendar that I want to be aware of. Now that I have more going on in my life I may need to keep a diary again!
