Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: ends with “ound.” Find a word (or words) that ends with “ound” and use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

AND

#AtoZChallenge 2024 letter L

Since The month of Flounder that word seems in the front of my brain. It obviously fits both and neither of the prompts. So I’ll continue to flounder about in this stream.

It is a real storm outside thunder and lightning giving us a show. But thunder doesn’t fit the prompts.  I did unplug electronics and between flashes and noise I’m writing this on my phone.

Not my own picture.

The sound of the rain hitting our window ranges from pounding to soothing. I am bound to the view, but soon I’ll be found in bed. You know that time when you round up all the stuff to carry to the bedroom.

But the storm has me all wound up.  So back to watching out the window.

A to Z Challenge, L

Let me be honest. Lately, laziness lulls around me. Loosely speaking, I lean towards lolly-gagging and shenanigans. Little gets done that isn’t fun. At least for me. But I am busier than ever. And I better get going as I’m going to be late.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “lip.” Use it as a word, or find a word with “lip” in it. As always, use any way you’d like. Enjoy!

So below are my twenty L words plus lip for Linda G. Hill. I’m sure she gets her share of lip but–she asked for it! 😉

____________

Let’s be clear.” Linda/Adnil and the rest of the Leprechauns of Limerick were confused by their friends’ faces. Little fairies nearly dropped from the air. “What is wrong with Dusty, Jade and Mary?” She bit her lip, took off her hat and sat down next to Dusty. She slapped her face but that only made Dusty fall flat on the ground. “Come on, everyone. We know what they taught us. Let’s see if we can help!”

All the little people gathered around. They sat and held hands. They grew quiet and they made sure that the hands of Dusty, Jade and Mary were included in the circle, even if they were looking dead. These little people saw in their heads, rather than words, pictures of dragons putting out fires and setting up lava tubes. There was a hill somewhere else with bodies strewn out, including a chicken. There were men passed out in a cave. There were ladies under piles of dirt and debris. And now Dusty and her girls were out cold. The Leprechauns wanted to help.

The little people didn’t know how to locate the people in the vision. They needed to remember what they had learned under Dusty’s leadership the last time she had been to Earth. Dusty was a legend among their people. Through her, they lived longer. The lessons she taught were about how to keep their ladies safe. She made them loud and strong. Before they had to lie. They made laws that there would be no female leprechauns. That was why they all had reversible names. Like Linda who presented as Adnil. It was a male society then, not just in the leprechaun world. Everyone had to stay in line with that law. And so the lie continued until Dusty and friends came and show the error of their ways.

What seemed like a long time the group sat joining forces and watching their inner movie of what was happening all over the Havenverse. The next picture was of these little people becoming little dragons. They could do everything the big dragons could but fit in places while invisible to see what the problems were. Quickly assignments were given, in pictures, as to who would go where and what they were to do, then they blinked there. Three fairies stayed at Dusty and her daughters’ side. It seemed Earth was directing them to just hold each shrunken woman while talking and stroking their faces. This faint was of Earth but not an illness so they should come around.

_______

So the above I wrote two days ago. I am two days ahead of the A2Z one because of the Sunday off, and two because my writing took off. As of tomorrow, I will be three to four days ahead. I have to admit that having the Sundays off is wrecking my flow. So, though I will still participate in the challenge I am letting go of doing this to the book that the planet seems to be dictating to me.

Also, I’ve learned that it is distracting to the reader that might find bits of the story interesting. So I think I will still share bits of the writing, but not keep them strict to the alphabetic challenge. I kind of wonder why this challenge isn’t in February where the number of days is closer to the 26. The last couple of days could get the blogger ready for the next challenge.

And heck! I miss sharing my day to day challenges, adventures, and complaints! So from M on it will be when everyone else is sharing but unless it just falls there in the story, it will be in another method of posting. So not breaking the challenge rules as far as I can see, just adjusting my own goals to what will get me my 50K for CampNaNo in the best way I can. Besides Kali and my knitting are getting jealous! (Leftovers of K day.)

A newborn hat and a bored Kali.

#A to Z Challenge–L

I have to most amazing offspring. I love sitting around with any one of them and chatting. This week I get to do a lot of this. The Last adult-offspring came to visit me yesterday and will be taking me back to her place this coming week to visit with family and friends there.

The best thing in life, besides my awesome offspring, is Long road trips with Loved ones. Here is a picture of what we saw on our way home. That one cloud looked almost like a tornado or hurricane. Huge and all the way to the ground. Yet, as you can see blue skies all around us.

Yet the ground was semi-dry and Hubby said that the weather had been rather nice at home. Wierd! More road-tripping tomorrow, YAY!!!
