Made It Monday

I finished my scrappy no-show socks. I thought they’d fit me but they are slightly too small, so off to a friend.

I still have more of that purple-bluey yarn so I started toes for a new pair.

I finished my Uke strap.

It straightens out when I put it on. It’s comfortable .
I’m on the heel of the remakes. They are going to be a little too big for the first recipient. But  we have a friend who might like these when her feet and ankles swell.
Nearly finished Shooting the Curl!

The snow finally melted. We are told on the news, that though we started our week in the winter we will have Spring and then Summer by the weekend. Crazy Oregon! I love it!

One dragon finished and kitted down.

And the next kitted up,

And started.

Now it’s writing time.

Done!

Heading to the gifter of red yarn!๐Ÿค—

Made it, Monday

Well, I made it to my daughter’s. It was a long but fun ride with my friend. We enjoyed 60s oldies to get us through the trip.

Sadly, we had to drive through a lot of smoke to get into Reno. So much burned on either side of the freeway. A lot of home lost or in danger. Many were evacuated awaiting a chance to see if they still have homes. It’s so sad.

My people are safe. But this is not so for so many.

Meanwhile, temps are in the triple digits. Thank goodness for AC in the homes I’m visiting.

I’m so tired from the trip I think I’ll retire early.

Ear warmers are easy and fun when fine-gauge looms start hurting. Finished the one below and nearly finished with another. I’m making one for me, too. I think they will be great on bad hair days.

E-wrap cast-iron. Flat-knit stitch around. 24-peg Knifty Knitter loom. About 19-21 inches long. Gather ends to look like a flower. A scrunchy or rubber band can hold it in place and keep it comfortable for the wearer.
