First Pics

Crunchie, whose name needs a change in this place where he’s prey size, is slowly settling in.

Every time one of us leaves and reenters the room he barks a lot.  But he reaches full relaxation easily. He has claimed Chris’s chair.

Or a nice place on the floor.

Sammie and newbie, Shiloh, are staying hidden.

All fuzzies and humans except me, are male. Both cats are neutered. But Crunch still needs that. He’s only a year and will be on a leash until we feel he safely knows his boundaries, and has been fixed and completely vaxed.

Just a picture of his markings. Inkspot, Inky, Phantom, Barkley, come to mind. Ideas?

We are so happy. It was wonderful to see my son. But he’s got a lot to work on at home so we only got a short visit.

Yeah, not ten. We are down to six mice. Sammie loves his mice. He uses them for human enrichment.

‘Where’s your mouse Sammie?’ He leads us to the place he wants to watch us search.

He likes to push a mouse under my brother’s bedroom door. Once it’s under he flips it across the room. David is forced to look everywhere in his room. But only Sammie knows where the mouse is hiding. When David brings the miniature tiger into his room, the ginger points straight to the missing mouse.

Then when we are all watching TV in the living room, Sammie plays fetch with the mouse, bringing it to David to throw again and again. Clever kitty!

Clever Sammie!

What?

I forgot the pedicure!

What Sammie Sees

What do you see, Sammie?

Over two inches overnight and still coming down. So pretty!

Your prompt for #JusJoJan the 4th and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: โ€œin front/behind.โ€ Use โ€œin front,โ€ use โ€œbehind,โ€ or use them both in your post for bonus points! Enjoy!

I don’t know how other people do it. I am always behind. I rarely get gifts finished or cards sent, yet December gets here and leaves before I’m ready. When I try to get in front of the season, money, illness, depression, etc. jump in and throw me into the deep in making holiday magic the most depressing thought of my life.

This year, Sammie was new and though my brother threw up the trees (and take that however you will), we only donned soft toys and knitted balls. We redecorated every day.

The gift I thought would be ready turned out too small. So I’ll try again. Soon.

What I did enjoy was playing Christmas songs on the piano. It was enlightening and refreshing. And in my style I got a couple of the songs in time for New Year.

Yesterday, ahead of Spring Cleaning, I managed to not only put my Christmas songs away in an orderly fashion, and then, tada! I pulled out a lot of fun songs for this year’s goal: Learn to improvise and compose.

At least two gifts will get to the post office Monday. Yay! Not Easter!!!

One-Liner Wednesday

Since the special on Christmas, Sammie wonders if his cat tree can be a TARDIS.

Happy New Year, Linda! JJIJ and One-Liner Wednesday

It’s Beginning

To look a lot like Christmas with a new kitty!

Notice the trees only have knitted balls. And it’s snowing.

Every day we are putting them back up, rescuing stray balls. But wouldn’t trade it for anything. I really needed Sammie in my life.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “cool.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

Cool!!!! That’s my favorite things to say and with all the enthusiasm of the multiple exclamation points. Sorry Grammarly and autocorrect. Anything else is stuffy!

Yes, this nearly 75 year old is stuck in the groovy 60s. Well, at least with that word.

I rarely use cool in reference to weather. It’s cold. Or hot. Maybe that’s more location than slang.

Hey, want to know the coolest?

I reached 10,023! (NaNoWriMo) Yay!!! Okay, so I’m nowhere near the end, the story still calls me. Sometimes goals can push. Sometimes they can kill you. The best goal is one that inspires progress and happiness.

Nothing is cooler than a warm kitty.

Notice Joe Cool on the shelf!

Yeah, I still want a warm puppy. One that Sammie will love as much as me.

Wouldn’t that be cool? !!!!

One-Liner Wednesday

A part of Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday

I have a lap cat!

Thus Thursday

I have no idea what to write about and really I’d prefer playing around with uke, vi, and toot. I’ve discovered Christmas carols for all my instruments. Piano is the most fun right now. But the others are fun and challenging. I try to keep them all fun so I don’t give up.

Poor, Sammie. His favorite spider toy got stepped on and broke. Funkle Chris has already ordered a replacement. Random Sammie pics:

He helps even a struggling writer feel better.
He still loves his tree though he’s almost too big for the boxes.

That’s the toy that broke.๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Okay, time for strings and toots!
