Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “confidence.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

The very first thing I thought of when I saw Linda’s prompt for the day was this song Julie Andrews sang in the sound of music.

Being a mom of four I often had to dig deep. So I sang it to the kids and it lightened many scary moments.

I’m smiling right now for watching and singing just now. Enjoy!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “clown.” Use it as a noun or a verb; use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

So you know I’m not clothing around:

That yellow part is actually light green. I’m pretty happy with them! But time to NaNo!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “create.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Creating can be fun, if you have all the time in the world and no stress. But when guilt gangs up on creative juices it seems there is no more juice.

Yep, that’s what is happening with the NaNoWriMo. I have 16,115 words at this moment. I’m going to go find prompts to move the story along. I need 18,337. See ya tomorrow!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “meat/meet/mete.” Use one or use ’em all for bonus points. Have fun!

Linda’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt.

Meeting the word count in NaNoWriMo is the challenge of November. Today I should have a total of 6,668 words. No one is going to mete out punishment for not reaching that goal, but I try not to write things that are not fun for me. That means I want a story I can chew on. Something meaty. Even if my main characters are vegetarian.

By the way, my project is entitled “Empty.” And it no longer is. I actually have 6,585. My characters are in trouble so I need to get back and make it worse before heading to bed.

Here’s a working cover:

Imagine being this dancer but you look in the mirror to see an empty room.

No vampire, but something is up. I don’t know until my characters tell me. It’s fun!

Stream of Consciousness Saturday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “Last/Lest/List/Lost.” Use them in any form you like. Use one, use two or use them all. Bonus points if you use all four. I’ll chip in extra bonus points if you use the word formed from the missing vowel in a well mannered way, but behave yourselves lest you lose all you bonus points… Enjoy!

Thanks Linda for the prompt. Thank you Dan of No Facilities for helping us out on this Stream of Consciousness Saturday

Lest you all think I don’t have an Afghan to finish, let me list what still needs to be done.

1. Finish the last panel. I got nearly one third finished as of this moment. It’s going fast but may not get done today. Let’s hope I do.

2. Sew the panels together.

3. Put on an anti-curl trim.

4. Find pretty paper and a card.

5. Mail to the happy couple.

Let’s hope my fingers and back hold out. I don’t usually set a deadline on my projects. But this one is important. If I don’t get it done by Monday, all is not lost. But having the looming date helps me stay focused.

Still no picture. I promise before I mail it to capture the image.

So, back to work for me.

Happy Fall!

Stream of Consciousness Saturday, Run

Run. Remember these? Ugh, what a pain. By the way, click the URL
to learn a fix.

In my world now, a run represents a dropped stitch in knitting. I’m still not very good at recovering the dropped stitch. I always look it up. Like at this YouTube:

Meanwhile, as our usual Saturday background noise goes, we spend the day watching disaster movies. The hoakier the better. Or the more watched, like Rampage and San Andreas.

The keyword of these shows is RUN! Usually the advice is far too late in an attempt to prevent panic. How do they think that will work? The actual disaster occurs and folks are running like chickens with their heads chopped off.

I think I’ll throw in yesterday’s Bitmoji:

Nearly forgot to give Linda credit for the prompt:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “mostly/at least.” Use one, use ’em both, use ’em any way you’d like. Bonus points if they both appear in your post. Enjoy!

I’m mostly feeling better. At least my fever is less than it has been. And mostly we have the Internet. Well, sort of. Tomorrow’s church service in Zoom will be the test. If not at least we can watch it on Facebook. Not as interactive as I like it, as you can chat with others in Zoom.

This next week I will start deleting and deciding if I want to go to a higher level on WordPress. I seem to be in delete mode for a lot of my programs. Heck, I need to start eliminating junk around the house, too.

Mostly WordPress. At least the motivation is there. Stay to see if you think follow-through will happen.

Yeah, pictures in my WP still work.

Per Linda: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “chews/choose.” Use one, use ’em both, use ’em any way you’d like. Bonus points if you get ’em both in. Have fun!

Choosing between this and that can be difficult at best. Especially if you are not great at making choices. I will chew on a decision for hours, even seemingly easy selections. A salad or frozen veggies? Yogurt or cottage cheese, chocolate or caramel. Trying to be healthy makes the decision for me, sadly. And beyond that most preferences aren’t life or death. Most aren’t even resulting in monetary wealth or poverty. Yet, I can be frozen as if the wrong alternative will be the end of the world.

Others could already be chewing happily on their appetizers while I’m dazzled by the menu like a deer in headlights.

And we only go out once or twice a year! You’d think it would be easy. Just pick something!

This isn’t just a food thing. I need to call someone. Who to call, when to call, should I even call? Usually the day goes by and I realize I never called anyone. Every decision of my life seems of equal depth. I know it shouldn’t be that way. I know other people just move along doing life.

Me? Let me chew on it. I’ll let you know in my next life.😥

Per Linda:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “tune.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Something that has always fascinated me are the tunes we learned in toons.

Enjoy!

Per Linda:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “the first 3 words of the first full sentence.” Okay, follow me here. This is what I want you to do: 1. Grab the closest book to you when you sit down to write your post. 2. Open it to a random page. 3. Locate the first complete sentence on that page. 4. Use the first three words of that sentence to start your post, then take it from there–write whatever comes to mind. That’s it! Have fun!

Memory is necessary… Duh!

Most of the easy to grab books from my recliner are knitting or crochet ones. Or writing. This book was part of the inspiration for last year’s NaNoWriMo. Pensées, French for Reflexions. The book is dry but there are pearls of wisdom along with some biased thoughts education and reason can overcome.

By the way, the full quote is: Memory is necessary for all the operations of reason. So much better than: To create an airy grid texture, crochet using the TSS into the back bump of the Return Row (see chapter Stitch Bars, picture E, No. 5).

Although, come to think of it: To create an… Leaves lots to a far different blog entry.

End of stream. Duo and crochet are calling.
