Per Linda (even though her whole family has Covid! Dedication!): Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “walk.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

Walk on By

…if you find my choice of entertainment boring, disgusting, or scary. But when the Internet is iffy like the last few days we pull out my son’s collection of The Walking Dead DVDs. He has almost all of them. We are at the Season 2 Episode 3.

Well, there’s one that should have walked a little more.

Let’s take Ms. Warwick’s let’s walk on by

Wish I had a place like this to walk. But walking with a dog makes every path more fun.

Last night I took this of our sunset. Why is it that it never looks like I see it in the picture? The red/orange was so bright against that dark blue that I nearly fainted at the sight.

By the way, I spent today working on first my set up for writing tomorrow and then went through some of my old books. I will need some of the old characters and places and planets from before so I didn’t want to forget where I’ve been in the Haven series.

Speaking of the Haven series, which you can read in full on Wattpad, I added chapter three to Haven 1-3. I hope to get some comments to help me make it a better story. It isn’t finished with the editing procedures, nor is the story ended after about 10 added books in the series.

Okay back to the Walking Dead season finale. Hope you’re enjoying your Sunday.

The Walking Dead, Vol. 2: Miles Behind UsThe Walking Dead, Vol. 2: Miles Behind Us by Robert Kirkman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love two-parter, year-long Christmas gifts! You see I promised my adult son one Walking Dead paperback a month and promised myself the Kindle version for me. So I got number two at the beginning of this month as he already had book one.

I didn’t even bother trying to read the paper version. The font is too light. But I love the Kindle version. I can tap on any picture and enlarge it. Every aspect of the drawing is there, all the word clear. It makes me want to do a lot of comic books this way.

This particular volume takes us to the farm and Hershel and Maggie. It wasn’t as detailed as the episodes that we binged a few years ago. Yet it is fun to see how this story continued when it was fresh from Robert Kirkman’s imagination. I love how the show has tried to stay true and yet worked with Mr. Kirkman on new storylines to make a fantastic show about people dealing with survival.

Can’t wait for next month!

Bad Guy, Bullie, Bastard. No, not a political statement. Could be, but…

Coming up to yesterday, I looked forward to the Walking Dead season finale. Hubby stated the obvious wish, “Can’t wait to see the end of Negan!”

From the first time I saw him on the show I’ve yelled, “Cut his ‘L’ vad wire!” Fans of Grey’s Anatomy will understand. What I just learned is: LVAD stands for Left Ventricular Assistance Device. Thank you, Google!

But I knew Negan would not be dead at the end of this show. Negan still hasn’t told us his story. How did he become so bad? How did he start his band of Negans? When in the face of such a bullie, how can the average person live positively and not become the same kind of bad? The writer in me knows that is necessary. AND who wants to lose Jeffrey Dean Morgan?

The best stories are those where we get to know characters deeply, even the bad guys.

Still, I cried at the Sasha Williams part. Sonequa Martin was amazing!!!! I will miss her.

She is such a beauty and quite the actress!

And she is one of the Badass Bitches of TWD!

The other two in this picture are Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) on the right and Michonne (Danai Gurira) in the middle. There are other strong fems in this show but these may be my favs.

Sasha Badass Bitch to the end!!!!

Thank goodness for the Talking Dead that helps me heal after gruesome scenes.

That’s Chris Hardwick. Love him @Nerdist and his mother @NerdistMom!
