Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “starts with ‘kn.’” Find a word that starts with the letters “kn” and use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
Know ye knot is the story of knitting and crocheting. Well, it should be but it’s too late in the day to do the research. I just needed a way to introduce my newest toy for Spidercat Sammy. I’m making stressball blobs, frogs, and fish. But it’s been a while since I made crocheted balls. So instead of inserting a stressball I just stuffed it. The little plastic ball might be dangerous for a kitten. But at least I have an idea of how it’s done. The yarn is Baby Bernat.
The yarn and hook make a bigger ball than the pattern calls for. But those baskets look like fun. I’ll have to look for a smaller gauge yarn and hook for the stressball patterns. Found here. Well, the Stress Fish. But all of them are on Etsy.
The day ended with a gorgeous sunset. And the stream took a side show.
Finished the remake of this pair of slippers. They will probably be too big for the first recipient. This was the finish because I ran out of the bumpy cotton yarn. The brown was too tight and needed to be frogged back.
Empty needles call for new projects. Turkish Cast-on is my favorite. Too more rows, then the foot. Two-At-A-Time Chiaogoo cables size 8 40″
Almost finished. Just a piece of sky. Do I hear Barbra Streisand in Yentl? The sunset. This weekend Oregon might see Aurora Borealis. So far not much in the sky but stars. There’s a lighter part of the sky but could it just be light reflection? No colors. But twilight and pre sunrise are the times to watch.
There are a few more projects. I just ran out of writing energy. I did finish “Leave the World Behind.” The review hits Sunday.
Though we got the indoor bike delivered late yesterday, we didn’t take it out of the box until today.
Outside of the moment it all went well. Then we couldn’t figure out why the seat had four holes for screws while the metal brace part had three holes. What? The four holes in the shape of a square did not line up with the three in the shape of a triangle.
I say ‘we,’ but Chris did the physical building, I just worried and supervised.
Then he saw the actual seat with the triangle holes and realized that other bit was the back rest. Whew!
All in all, it took a couple hours. Chris took his ride first. Then I did a couple miles in my living room. Since we didn’t take our walk today, I pictured our half mile turn around, so quickly arrived and repeated in my head. Imagine how far a mile would happen on a real bike!
When not in use it goes in my Dabbling Den. Yeah, another thing to block the piano. But on the right side the diamond painting area is not being used right now. The whole area needs a makeover.
Luckily, the wheels on the bike make it easy to move around.
I meant to mention that box of yarn tucked in under the keyboard of the piano. Yay! Yarn!
From the driver’s seat, the front of the bike. Yes, that is Rosey’s food dish.
I’m happy to have the bike today. It was hot and humid. Then we had thunder storms. But that left a phenomenal sunset. Sorry it isn’t even close to what I saw.
Wallpaper has become a symbol of the angst of new technology. Each new phone, Fire, and computer has wallpaper choices. They try to get me to choose something with buildings, but I reject those pictures. I like the ones with nature most prominent. Sunsets and beaches are my favorites. How about something like these?
If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably have already picked up on the themes of my life.
In real life, I prefer no wallpaper. Mostly it makes the walls feel busy. My life and home are too busy to have it appear on the walls. I don’t even enjoy putting up pictures. That’s funny in that I spend a lot of time making pictures! I wish I could just do the pictures and let others pin them on their walls. I like the process.
Well, back to my newest Diamond fun. Wallpaper begets this wallflower.
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “a picture from wherever.” When you sit down to write your post, find a picture, whether in a magazine, newspaper, or even product packaging. Write whatever thought or emotion the picture provokes. Enjoy!
When I see the moment the sun and water marry, I feel more alive than ever. And love to my core.
My mission for Fridays is to have something accomplished. Some weeks I don’t even come close to a finished product. This week, there are a few things I’m proud of. Even though close is all I got.
Probably will finish tomorrow on another scrappy slipper socks for charity, using up some small skeins.Only a couple empty ‘drill’ spots. I’ll do those before bed. Tomorrow I will ‘Mod Podge’ and paint the border. Then I will look at my next project. Try painting? Sunset beach Diamond Painting? Rock painting? So many artsy-fartsy things to try!Finish of a perfect day, including a mile walk with Kali.
Now I just need to find music time!

Hi! my name is Sebastian (You can call me Seb!) ...welcome to my Blog. I'm a photographer from Worcester, Worcestershire, England. Thanks for dropping by! I hope you enjoy my work.
Books, games, music, and life — filtered through the mind of a writer, drummer, and philosopher who thinks too deeply about all of it. If it moves something in your chest, I'm interested.
