Whatcha watchin’?
Here are the latest distractions I’ve had to help with knitting:
My inner mermaid needs water. A pool, or ocean. I miss swimming! Hence the second Mermaid show: Mako Mermaids, Just Add H2O
Okay, it is a bit silly. But I’m not only watching. It is background knitting music!
Another one for the background is Kipo. I wish my kids were young and I could watch this with them. So many teachable moments!
My husband and I caught up on Outlander. I’m still reading. I am a book behind the show. I’m reading (listening) as fast as I can.
My brother, son and I are binging on Better Call Saul. I have to admit that it is hard to watch the past after you’ve watched Breaking Bad and El Camino. No, this show doesn’t win any kind of Bechdel test. Hardly any female influences. I’m not a fan, but it is fun to watch with my guys.
A show to watch for teachable moments with younger people or men who could use this kind of knowledge, if you are able to handle that kind of thing. Otherwise best watched alone to save the embarrassment levels. There is much for all of us to learn–or discard, but interesting Gooplab:
A show that surprised me was I’m Not Okay With This. I really liked it, so did my brother.

Most of these are on Netflix. Outlander is only up to season 3 on Netflix. The rest is on Hulu.
Speaking of Hulu:
It is really good.
Well, I know there are many more. I even have listened to Pandora this past week so that I could read more of Outlander while knitting. I have a channel I call Pirates of the Caribbean, mostly of the shows but Game of Thrones and other movie music sneaks in there.
What’s your noise at the moment?

I saw Outlander and enjoyed it but the books were better, As for Picard it is brilliant mind you all things Star Trek and I am hooked. At the moment we are re watching Star Trek the next generation, and Voyager and loving them, so the New Piccard fits in brilliantly.💜
Glad you liked Outlander books and show. Sometimes I like the books better, sometimes the show cuts down the over explaining. My husband and I over-watched Next Generation. It is my fav of the Star Trek shows. I have tried to start watching from the beginning and then found the originals with Spock and all so weird for nowadays. We are enjoying Discovery, though. Some of us just can’t get enough of the space/time travel stuff! 😀
Definitely I was born too soon! I am not so keen on Kirk and the gang but I did like them when the started. I also loved Discovery, and Deep Space Nine. I can recommend both films and the entire New Battlestar Galactica, with great touch having Starbuck as a woman. I even wrote a poem about wanting to be her!!
I still haven’t done much of Deep Space Nine. My son goes on about it. And I guess I will have to try again with the Battlestar. I find the past tries I got confused between who was the humand and who was not. Where do I find the new one?
I have looked on line and it looks like Cinemablend or Hulu I have no experience of either. Not sure if that helps 💜
I’ll try to hit those soon.
Enjoy 💜
My noise is still silence. Unless I am binging. Last week, it was Royal Pains. I caught a couple of seasons, then skipped ahead to the last three episodes in the series. Now I need to find something else for when I want actual sound with my noise. LOL
I can’t figure out how it is that some of us love silence and others of us thrive on the noise. I find the quiet sends me to sleep. Meditation can only last a couple minutes or I’m sleeping or up doing something else. I do admire quiet-loving people. Royal Pains was worth trying. As is Doc Martin now that I am on the fourth episode and I might like it after all. I like sound with my noise, too! 😀
