I’m grateful for my new laptop but have to admit my frustrations of starting over. All my writing in yWriter7 and WriteItNow and Scrivener are stuck in RTF form and tons of work awaits to bring them back to life. So that’s my time lately in a nutshell.
Sadly I have to report I didn’t get but half my word count goal this month. But I had a marvelous time with family and friends, so not really complaining. Just reporting.

While my brother and husband did the vet run. My son and I cleaned. He worked on the out of control mud room. I shampooed the carpets. It was nice not to have furballs in the way. We were successful in our ventures. Now I need to finish cleaning out the shampooer. Yuck!

You put me to shame, I have really been ignoring the housework lately!
I’ve had to with the dog piddling so often it was hard to keep up so a day without the hairy beasts gave me a chance to catch up a little.
Maybe I need an incentive like that…
Seems a chocolate bar would be better incentive! 😂
now you’re talking!
That’s why I try to keep all the stuff that i write in plain text format (or Markdown). Makes things much easier than trying to convert from .rtf to .odw, or .doc, or .docx…
Hope all goes well with the animals.
Text, in this case would be the same as the RTF. There’s still the format each program presents as it’s feature I love, keeping the scenes and chapters easy to see and rearrange later if need be. I don’t know how people manage to write everything in Word. It is too linear and doesn’t have the flexibility of these other programs I work in.
I do a lot of writing in Scrivener and also use BBEdit, which is a plain text editor. What’s nice about it is I can run the Markdown conversion script when I use it. Haven’t quite figured that out for Scrivener…
You’re right: I’ve tried writing in Word, LibreOffice (an open source, i.e. free, version of Word), and Google Docs, and they’re just too linear.
I’ve never heard of BBEdit. I’ll look that up. Thanks for the suggestion.
Well, it looks like that is for Markdown and or Mac and I don’t understand Markdown nor do I have a Mac. 😒 Thanks, anyway.
Yeah, that’s pretty much the case…
