Well, except for my blog, I have been on a writing hiatus. I can only get spotty Internet, so I don’t want to tax it with my laptop. I’ve been doing everything with my iPad. Congrats on your learning and your progress. 🤗
Thank you. Yeah, internet issues are daily here. Besides Duolingo and the blog I sometimes don’t get much else done. Writing happens either an app or pen and paper. Especially Nano prep. I find Facebook and reading on the web much harder, even on the phone or Fire. Still, seeing other than computer screens is preferable. I’m living that dream through you! 🤗
Aww, that’s nice of you to say.
What app do you use for writing? Can you write a story, then copy it somewhere else? I think I sometimes use “pages” but I’m not sure what all I can do with it.
WriteItNow6, yWriter7 are my favorites. The first is great for character names and development, the second to write quickly. It doesn’t weigh you down with grammar and spell-check like Word.I use Word to do all those editing things. I don’t know if they are iPad compatible. I do have a version on my Fire so if I have issues with my computer I can continue writing. I have Scrivener but it has a learning curve I haven’t graduated from yet. These programs do allow copy/paste so I often copy to Word then copy edited version back to it’s place in yWriter7 or WriteItNow.
Last year I discovered Speech notes and found I could take a walk while writing by speaking my story to my phone. Then when home copy and paste to Word.
Ok! That gives me some ideas of things to look into while I’m off the laptop. Since we are using my brother’s hot spot, I haven’t even opened my laptop since we’ve been here. I do everything on my iPad or phone right now.
I hope it works for you. Writers gotta write.🤗
