Ta-Da Tuesday

I’m in love with these. Sadly, they are not my size. Hopefully, they will be finished after a bit of ankle then a cuff. Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Long leggings. I love the colors, but am not as excited doing these as actual socks.
These are ankle and cuff from being done. I hope I can finish these and the pinkies on top by the weekend.

Really, I’m more excited about actually finishing my laundry today. Oh. I still have a couple dishes in the sink. You’ll hear my Ta-Da before I go to bed.

TaDa Tuesday

My hands are tired. But the heels are turned. Just the leg and cuff left to do. Yay!

Finishing Friday

Well, look at that. Something besides knitting! LOL!

Then again, I did a bit of that, too.

Ready for the heel. Cotton. Of the cotton yarns, this has been nice.
Ready for heel. Fun on Flexee Fine-gauge looms.
These colors are more beautiful than the picture. And this is a wool mixture. But my hands aren’t happy with the fine yarn and skinny needles. So these might take a bit longer.
Decided to make a leftovers hat. I love this yarn. It feels like butter.
I have added and edited more. I’ve nearly met my goal. Yay!

I’d love to say I’d hit more piano than one song, but I still feel happy that I did what I did. Trying to keep it fun so I want to go back.

It’s soulful and pretty.

We just hit our 20th year married, 30 together. That should be considered an accomplishment! Still in love and laugh a lot!

We don’t wear rings, but love a good beach pic!

Finishing Friday

Just a picture of the pairs with the most progress.

Leftover yarn making shorty socks. Nearly to the heel. Turkish cast-on heading to Fleegle heel.
I may actually finish these before midnight. Doing Jenny’s cast-off.

There’s a couple more I’m working on but it’s late and I still have Duolingo to do before midnight.

Happy weekend!

Finishing Friday

Finished! Ready to mail. Cotton mix. With enough leftover that I started another pair of socks.
Starting the new pair with a Turkish cast-on.
Right more rows of Continental worked ribbing. I think these bamboo yarn socks will be done by next Friday.
Just keep my hands busy with the looms. Somehow I like working with ChiaoGoo Red-lace Circular Needles, Toe-up Two At A Time Socks with Turkish cast-on, Fleegle Heel, mostly knitting right-handed, Ribbing Continental, and Jenny’s stretchy cast-off. But if my hands tire of knitting the Flexee Fine Gauge starting with the Kitchener cast-on for dif.
Because these are finer gauge needles and yarn, my hands don’t enjoy working on this pair as much. But I do like the colors and how soft the yarn and material feels.
Fun!

Finishing Friday

Two pairs are nearly finished. I would guess this greyish brown pair will be done tomorrow. Yay!

Eight more rounds of ribbing and these will be done. Maybe Sunday?
These are weeks from being finished.
These might be a week or so from hot off the looms.
I know, not related to knitting but our weird dark cloudy days had the hay barn in a glow. It looked like angels were singing! I know, I’m a dork. It’s the little things, right? This was a couple days ago

Manifesting Monday. I found a pup like I want:

If you haven’t seen this show, it is a heart warmer.

I fell in love with the above pup. Criteria: female, fixed, vaccines, calm but enjoys walks and outings with me. Easily trained, already house trained. Not a fussy eater, but not a kitty litter consumer. Loves being bathed, nails trimmed. Loves being a lap pup. But enjoys alone time. Playful, enjoys toys. Healthy mind, body. Can read the humans. Get along with cats or other dogs. Knows we love her and loves us back. Soft little ears. Cuddles. This or better for the greater good of all of us.

Meanwhile, I finished these:

The yarn was soft. I’m done with double pointed needles for a while. I’m glad I know how.
Look at the right sock! Finally the toe is happening. I still don’t know who will get these. They are smaller than most people I know. It may be they will go to the charity. Again, I think I’m done with shorter needles. I prefer long cables. These tiny things hurt after a while.
This is my favorite pair. I think they will be mine! I’m at the heel stage which means they’ll be done soon.

Finishing Friday

I’ve tried and failed the heel on these socks. I think I’ve tinked 6 heels at least on the left sock. But I’m not giving up. I suddenly have an idea.    As you can see, I’m using HiyaHiya Fliers sharp, US 1-2.
Meanwhile, I made a few inches on this small bamboo thread pair of socks. ChiaoGoo red-lace circular needles size 2, 40″ cord.
This pair is for ME! Caron is so soft! This yarn is thicker so I’m using ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars size 8, 40″ cord.
Started the toe on this thin yarned pair of socks. ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars US 1, 40″ cord.
The gift pair still needs loose ends tidied up. Knitters’Pride Royale Circular Needles US 6, 40″. The label is missing this moment. But the yarn is a bumpy cotton.
But it was while I was trying to get to 7 inches (nearly there with the sock on the right.) Time for the heel! Then I realized I can adapt this heel to the Pretty White (light blue, actually) pair. I’ve already made this heel a few times. Yay!  Knitters’Pride Dreams double pointed US 6 needles. Cascade yarns superwashed wool. I doubt anyone can tell I am possessed by ADD.

Well, at least I’m staying out of trouble. 😉

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 20th 2023, is “phantom.” Use the word “phantom” any way you’d like. Have fun!

By the way, the prompt is brought to us by Tuba. Thank you, Tuba! Please be sure to visit Tuba’s blog to read her posts and say hello

Since starting the Jotting for January a few of my own regular features seem to have become phantoms. I can feel them calling me like a phantom limb. Besides a couple reviews behind, I feel I need to catch us up on things I’m working on. Yes, I said ‘us.’ That is how I keep myself aware of what I’ve been up to lately. It helps me realize I’m not sitting and navel gazing. Things are getting done!

I’ve shared my two pairs of circular needle socks. But there are other projects getting attention. Just not as much.

A child’s hat, ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars.

These are nearly finished. CinDWood sock looms. The part I like least, ribbed cuff
A pair of child’s socks heel started on left sock. Cuff complete on the right. These are using HiyaHiya Fliers and short small ChiaoGoo Circular Needles to help out.
Nearly finished on Flexee fine-gauge loom. Again, cuff ribbing is my least favorite part.

I shared my method of keeping the cable uncurled with friends today. And I can share the progress since my full frog of yesterday.

With the help of my toes, the toes of the socks are finished. These are Knitters’Pride Royale Circular Needles. Good thing I can still sit half lotus while knitting.

Lastly, Diamond Painting continues. Nearly finished with the dragon.

I love him! So all-knowing, don’t you think?

I’ll try to get my reviews done sometime this weekend.

Your prompt for #JusJoJan the 14th and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “once upon a time.” Start your post with “Once upon a time,” then write whatever comes to you, whether it be fact or fiction. Have fun!

So, here we go…

Once upon a time, when people were kind, there was a bully. But kindness and blah, blah, blah.

What my stream is taking me to my knitting. I didn’t get to do my Finishing Friday. And my knitting is calling loudly, almost like a bully.

So

No, this is not a bra. Unless, as my hubby called it, a foot bra. Right. Toes for a pair of socks. Frogged a few times. I will probably need to frog again as the ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars are too short. So I bought a longer cable but there were no ChiaoGoos. If I can figure out how to load the project on my new Knitters’ Pride Royale Circular Needles. Size 8 like what the toes are on. But the new cable is 45″.
These toe-bras were made on size 1 40″ ChiaoGoo Circular Needles. Too small for the worsted weight Caron Jumbo. It was killing my hands to work this tight. So frogged, again. Learning to make Toe-up, 2 At a Time socks is complicated. Finding a proper pattern amid all the YouTube tutorials is tough. So I’m learning as I go with many frogs.

My newest try (just frogged again within the hour). These on my second set of Knitters’ Pride Royale Circular Needles, size 8, 45″ cord. I found my cast-on too long at 20. So I’ll start the next pair with Judy’s Magic Cast-on. Let’s try 16. Then the toe won’t look so boxy.

Just a quick review of the Knitters’Pride cords. They are so tightly coiled they are hard to work with. After research, I learned to steam or heat the cords. That helped the coiling, but they are not nearly as flexible as the ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars. But maybe with a little practice I’ll get used to them.

Other knitting and loom knitting projects are coming along. They just aren’t the extreme challenge as the Tu2AAT socks.

And the dragon is coming along.

I’m loving him!

Okay, back to the tiny bras!

And they lived happily ever after.
