Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “heavy/light/dark.” Use “light” and/or its opposites. Bonus points if you use all three. Enjoy!

It’s a good thing this prompt came up today. After floundering about the last step of diamond painting, I decided it was time.

You are supposed to apply the sealant, in this case, Mod Podge, in a light coat.

I did that yesterday. It turned out nice. But I got in a hurry today and put it on too heavy. Do you see the clunks of white and the clear cellophane stuff on the edges? Okay, they are sitting on little cellophane packets. But, there are little bits I’ll have to peel off tomorrow before putting on the chains.
This is the first side up and the sealant pooled underneath. So I’ll let it dry and hopefully it will be alright.

Darkness falls over me while I flounder. Impatient attitudes and crankiness show up. If I know what I’m doing and my day is mapped out I’m fine but trying to get myself sorted out and things don’t appear to be hopeful well, see what happens?
Yeah, it’s not pretty.
Yet at the end of this day I’m seeing progress and the sealant is drying nicely, even with my heavy application.
Time for music. That should pick me up.

I think they’ll be alright tomorrow
They do look lots better. I’ll do the chains tomorrow as they still seemed a little sticky today. But thanks for the encouragement.
It’s a pleasure
I gave up floundering in January, Dars. Now I need to find another word for February!
You are lucky! I still have a lot of floundering to go. I know I go through this every year, so I thought I’d make it mine! Embrace!
Funnily enough, I am not missing all that floundering. So good to feel as though I am finally on the right page!
Wow! I’m so envious! It seems a yearly thing for be that something about February has no set program for me. By April and June there is Camp NaNo but writing falls by the wayside this month. Maybe I need to just be happy doing my crafts and get them out of my system before attacking another story in my head.
What page are you on? I want to applaud your achievement!
‘Do what you can’ has always been my motto, especially these days. I must confess that ‘do what you fancy’ is fast catching up. I have discovered that a happy Jaye gets a lot more done!
I have just finished Chapter Thirty Eight, the next to last chapter. The End is in sight!
I’m so impressed! Congratulations! I love seeing those two words! I’m trying to talk myself into the hard part. Editing. It is so hard for me. I’m full of imagination and stories but cleaning it up…ugh!
Editing is the best part for me, although discovering a muddle isn’t fun! You must learn to love the process, for this is when you can give your story extra shine!
I need to work on that. Maybe this month I can set up for editing next month. Get in the shiny mindset. Thank you. 🤗
I have bunches of NaNos. I’ve been doing them almost every year since 2001. But my last two didn’t get finished and I need to edit my way to get to the writing part that takes me to THE END. I need fierce determination to get ready for Camp in April.
Let’s save the congrats while your achievements pull me on.❤️
It is too bad I am blind so I can’t see your amazing creation! I wish I could! Music always picks me up too! Enjoy your Sunday Dar!
I didn’t know that. How long have you been blind, if you don’t mind my asking? And, I think there must be a way to create with the little jewels even for the sightless, maybe as kits on sculpture? Once the project is finished it feels nice. I love all the bumps. And music is fun for me when I work on making it. I am not so good at sitting and listening. I am horrid at sitting still in concerts. But given the score to follow or in other ways participating music comes alive.
Hope your Sunday was fantastic!
I have never sealed a DAP. To me, I was scared it would dull the sparkly effect.
I was worried about that, too. But the shine is still there and there is a bit more as the sealant seems to add sparkle inbetween the drills. I just don’t like the painting/mess/clean-up. So I may not use it every time.
I think they are lovely. You should be able to remove the excess without too much trouble. Stay positive friend!
Thanks!
