The knitting doesn’t have much progress to show.
Linus and Lucy, page one is improving. It looks so easy! Not if you have no rhythm.🥴
Oh Holy Night is coming along, as is When Christmas Comes to Town. I’m enjoying sight reading all my Christmas songs.
I’m a little concerned as my husband just tested positive for COVID two days ago. He wasn’t doing too badly until this evening. Now there’s a bit of a cough and he’s tired. This means the rest of us are taking precautions.
We finished all of Orphan Black and the sequel. It was fun. Now we are deeply into Stranger Things.
It’s been raining, now it’s so cold! But still no snow. We may still have a white Christmas.

The Outlandish Companion: Companion to Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, and Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was a bit of ‘Cliff Notes’ of the four books, that I think if you just need a reminder or a quick overall read.
My favorite part of this book was the author tells her side the tale and her writing methods.
I believe that if a person just wanted to step into the world and learn about writing this book could stand alone.
My Audible verson gave me the variety of voices offered by Diana Gabaldon, herself, and Davina Porter reading the book summaries. I loved getting the chance to revisit the places I have been three times before. I love the world of Outlander.

My bit for Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday.

The older she got, the less sure she was about anything. So much for things get better with age. Well, she wasn’t a cheese or a vintage wine. In fact she didn’t quite know where she fit in with everything these days. She had a good job, but company politics kept changing and now redundancies […]
Better with Age

I hope it lightened your day, toom

Today has been not only UNusual, it has been spectacular! You know how it feels when you get to chat with someone you haven’t talked with in years?
I feel like I met with royalty. Well, in my life that’s where family, Cuz’ns land. I’m still smiling.
We reminisced about simpler times hanging out at our grandparents’ home, ringer washers, clotheslines, washtub swimming pools, the kindest people who raised our family. The Sunday afternoons, after church in a house that love built. And that felt usual to us. And we felt blessed.

For next year, I hope I start Christmas music before Halloween. I’d like to be more proficient by this point. And I hope I know those last few songs with very little brush up time.
Oh, in case you need to see how gentle goals help:
I started back to piano last October. The goal: sit and play as long as it’s fun, then move on to something else. At first, I’d only play a song, or five minutes. Today I’ve clocked an hour and a half! And it’s still fun! And I’m not hurting as much as I used to.

And a new writing goal: 500 words a day starting today. And work 4 scenes a day on Folie à Plusieurs. But TrackBear is being a BEAR! So I need to find another way to keep track. I did get 637 words in a zoom sprint with Yvensong.
How was your Friday finale?
