Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone (Outlander, #9)Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone by Diana Gabaldon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just finished my third reading of this series. I can’t think of anything to add to this review. It is still my favorite, and I am still in love with the series, Diana Gabaldon, and Davina Porter. I’d like to learn to be even half the writer or narrator as these two.

***
As much as I love all the Outlanders, this may be my favorite. The sad part is that the next book isn’t ready to read. So now I am floundering with Diana Gabaldon’s novellas. And Davina Porter makes Ms. Gabaldon’s writing shine!

Don’t let it scare you; think honey, not stingers. Bees do play a part in telling this story. My takeaway is to always talk to the bees; they want to know.

As with the rest of the series, this book is educational about the American Revolution. It is inspirational as I long to read and research our history to know more than I learned in school. It proves my point that the student will feel curious if you throw in a bit of magic.

Ah, but, Diana, why did you have to leave this on a cliff? Especially knowing that it would be ages until your perfected sequel (as opposed to the Game of Thrones hurried ending by someone else.) But it wasn’t a high cliff, so I’ll tolerate it knowing our heroes will be safe somehow and once again save the day.

I love, love, love all the lessons the Frasiers and friends have to teach us and can’t wait for more.
If you get the chance, please listen to these books in audio form as Davina Porter brings the story to life.

One-Liner Wednesday

Fun with Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday.

My Day

And a special friend (Happy Birthday, Cheryllr ❤️)

For me, this year:

Bingeing Monday

Got sucked into this one

My son and husband and I stared at this all day. I can’t wait to see season 3

Sunday Funny

Or at night or during a nap.

Funny how the funnies aren’t so much.

I remember we ‘grands’ spread out on our grandparents’ floor after church. Not laughing, unless Silly Putty was involved. The colorful comics seemed more truths than humor

A couple stood out over the years. The one above (but my parents wouldn’t allow a dog inside to sleep.)

One little guy with a huge sombrero in a wagon his rope lassoed on a star. I think the caption was ‘aim for the stars and when you find the one you love, hang on.’

Another was eighth notes hanging out on the piano. One sitting on the music stand covered with cobwebs. That one says, “How can you tell I haven’t practiced?” See? Truth.

Here’s to Sunday Funnies

The mouse ran through the tower that was a knight, that night to save his friend.
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “tower.” Use it as a noun, use it as a verb, use any way you’d like. Have fun!

I think I already shared this.  But glad to move on.✅
Started a dragon.
These will be frogged so I can even up the stripes.
These were as big as those above, but the stripe was so far off I couldn’t deal with it. The balls on the tips of the needles are the froggy bits.

The other socks are sitting quietly until I can get back in the groove.

With NaNo over I’ve made up my mind to write at least 800 words a day to keep the writing muscle activated.🤞

With lots of sight reading of Christmas songs, I ran across this fun ditty. It’s being added to Lucy and Linus, and When Christmas Comes to Town songs to learn this season.

Fun

Milo, in his favorite place. Watching over those inside and out.
Shiloh, top shelf. Sammie next down. The curtains are in constant danger!

So anyway, I was smiling at Shiloh and Milo as they spread out on my bed. I laughed and said they were my identical twins like the Pea soup guys.

My husband couldn’t remember that. He was raised in So. Cal. too. So I looked them up.

Enjoy. Not our favorite soup. He didn’t like the peas. I didn’t like the bacon.

One-Liner Wednesday

That’s all for today.
The usually fun easy prompt from Linda. Sorry.

I’m finding myself at loose ends. Yet editing happened in the morning. One hour of Christmas pianoing happened. I finished the balloon diamond painting. Duolingo gave me ad-free time so I spent a lot of time on French, Spanish, and German.

Did NaNo drive me so hard? maybe knitting will settle me down.

Or should I aim to keep writing like a mad person?
