Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “wind.” Use it as a noun, use it as a verb, use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Ah, Christmas Valley. High Desert of Oregon. It isn’t Santa or Noel you are famous for. It’s the wind.

Having lived in the High Desert of California where all the trees lean east, you’d think I’d be used to it. The constant wind.

The tree I miss. Joshua tree.

And though it’s a nuisance and often scary with fires all around, it helps us stay cooler than many other cities. It’s a dry heat. Not so great for complexion, but easily cooler with swamp coolers.

Once the wind winds itself up, it is days of feeling sure a green lady on a bike will fly by.

I can’t decide if wind is better or worse in Winter than Summer. Like I mentioned, fire season makes the wind scary. And makes breathing outside difficult.

The super winds brings in you neighbors’ trash. Flying trampolines do happen out here.
