The Girl from Guernica by Karen Robards
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Another book that kept me awake all night. Karen Robards wrote a compelling book, and Nancy Peterson narrated it and brought it to life. This book was different than the other WWII books. It takes place in Spain. Another European country that isn’t brought up much. This story deepens our understanding of this corner of the world while giving us a personal sense of what it might have been like. As with all these books, the historical research is obvious, and the author gives her notes at the end.
I highly recommend this audiobook. I was lucky to find it on Libby.
