Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “full/empty.” Use one, use ’em both, use ’em any way you’d like. Bonus points for including both in your post. Have fun!

There was a time when our home was full of love with our set of black-and-white dog, Kali, black cat, Rosey, and orange tabby, Teddy. They grew old and passed, leaving our home so empty for so long!

Through some wonderful magic in our lives, we have a full house of love again. Black-and-white dog Milo (formerly ‘Crunchy’), black cat, Shiloh, and our orange tabby, Sammie. It is the oddest thing, even now, that the combination of pets came just that way. We still mess up names and genders. Every parent knows how easy it is to call the wrong name of the naughty kid or when in an emergency moment hits. Most of the time, the kids don’t look the same. Autocorrecting the brain can save it. But if your kids all look alike (Italian, dark hair and eyes), it’s even harder. So I should be used to it. But this team of pets is uncanny!

I don’t want to go searching for the old team pictures (I need to write 2,000 words today–this distraction I can avoid), but here’s the latest of the ‘ILO’ team

They loves each other! Milo and Shiloh groom each other and play often. They share their bed with me.

And here’s Sammie from the other day. I like the picture so much that I need to see them again.

He is getting used to the ‘Ilos” and now plays with them. They have been on my husband’s bed together–he has treats nearby.

But this was just this morning. With temps being in the teens, I love the BTU of pets.

Isn’t that the cutest face?

On the other hand, on November 1st, my yWriter app was empty. On November 30th, it should be full. I should be at 36,674 words. I only have 33,172. TrackBear says I should write 1,893 a day to reach the 50k by the end of November. But that is a lot. 1,667 is a lot. If I can push it today and for a few days, I might bring this project to something doable. Wish me luck! I need to bring this story to its full and proper ending. Let’s hope the brain isn’t empty!

Sunday Funny

I think my pets are getting a musical education.🤗

Yoga Socks Sunday

No handsome face could ever take the place of Milo…
Yarn chicken
I won!
Milo and my yoga socks. I’d like a longer cuff, but these are comfy.

One-Liner Wednesday

Milo knows how to spend a hot summer day.

A part of Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday fun.

Didn’t add much to my scrappy socks.
I think I did a row or two here. After frogging back several rows. I’m sharing the cakes with the socks to show the way it looks knitted or wound. I love these colors.
It may not look like it, but I did spend time on the watermelon socks. I still have an inch or two before the arch ribbing.
This sea turtle is coming along. This one has a lot of black. I find black yarn or diamonds hard on my eyes.

Some things seem harder to see progress.

Milo looks sweet and innocent when he’s asleep, but OMG!!! He takes over my bed and when I try to find my spot on the bed, he gets grumpy. Yet, at times, that cuddle bug feels like Heaven, you know?

He understands outside pee time but comes back in to leave a surprise in the hallway right next to the kitty litter.

Oh, the barking! I remember with Kali, all the energy, many of the same issues. I used to say having a dog was 100% harder than raising 4 kids. Yet with love the issues faded and when she passed… Well, I’m still not over her. So I know Milo will get it and the rest of my heart. Any hints to help with these issues? Cats are easy!

On the plus side, these guys are the best audience, source of laughter, and love in furry suits.

On the piano end of things I surprised myself with a whole hour of fun a couple days this week. AND with the discomfort and lack of sleep, my bike time reduced every day but today. I finally got 40 minutes today. Yay!

I have 3 reviews to write. Yeah, being uncomfortable in bed makes me sit up and read. Lots of reading. I like reading in the quiet of night.

How was your week? What positive progress have you seen in your life?

One-Liner Wednesday

When the guys returned after a couple hours, they knew this greeting!

Sunday Funnies

This day began with a dog and two cats protesting. My brother had to go to the store to get food immediately.

First Sammie
Then the duo of Shiloh and Sammie
Milo refused to budge until bowl is full!

Working the bottom fourth of my new Sea Turtle Diamond Painting. I’m listening to “Learn Faster, Perform Better” by Molly Gebrian during the painting. It’s very interesting.
Only because I knew I needed to report progress on my Two-At-A-Time socks on Chiaogoo needles, I put a couple rows in on each pair.  I finally got new glasses for these up-close WIP. So my only excuse is arthritis and not even that so much as, um, life?
Some of the fun songs I’m learning. Shiloh, loves and comes running when I play or sing that song to her. My son wants me to learn Skyrim. It is cool. And Succession needs to be relearned. Too much time between plays.

My rebinge of Grey’s Anatomy is a part of ‘Life’ made it to S13E12 out of, what? 22? What’s funny is how the guys join up with me. Sometimes all four of us are watching.

I have finished three books and now need to write reviews.

My newest addiction. Another part of ‘life.’

The furry three take up the rest of my time. They keep us on our toes, laughing, caring, cuddling. Nothing gets finished when hugging or walking these balls of fun energy.

Yeah, don’t let that innocent look fool you.

Sunset Diamond Painting still needs to be straightened and sealed. I’ll do that tomorrow morning.

I immediately got out this sea turtle. I love sea turtles. Well, anything to do with the ocean.

As you can see I’ve started at the bottom of the picture.
Aren’t Shiloh (the black cat on the left) and Milo (the cute doggie on the right) the cutest, cuddly couple of furry people ever? They groom each other and cuddle and wrestle and play. Poor tiger, Sammie is just trying to get used to them. And the three take all my attention.❤️
Two pairs of Two at a time, toe-up socks. The ones on the left are at the arch ribbing. But under them are the homework I’ve assigned myself. The manuscript on the right is chords and scales needed for the basis of jazz or other improvisation. My goal for this year. Progress seems slow. But I trust the process.

I’m still slowly coming around. I’m still doing little bits of everything. What I’m learning in my old age is how even little bits get the job done. What am I on some kind of race? Just with myself. I just need to be patient.

There are a couple rows I’ve added to these watermelon socks.
I’ve added several rows on this pair. I don’t know why I favor this pair over the watermelon but I’m nearly to the arch ribbing.

While we’re watching local news I use the stationary bike while working on Duolingo. It’s interesting how the exercise my legs helps my brain.

When I move to my Dabbling Den, Chris hops on the bike. He’s working very hard lately.  He went from five minutes to 30 minutes for 5 miles (like I do). We are neck to neck in this gentle race.

I’m averaging about 45 minutes playing and learning improvisation. I try to do my vocal warmups before playing so that when I’m playing something fun I can sing along. These are some of my favs right now.
And Shiloh our black cat wants to make sure I include her song. That white and blue book? The journal I’ve been keeping up for piano and voice.

From around 10:30 Shiloh and Sammie gather in my Den. Shiloh will walk on the piano keys to let me know what I’m supposed to do. I’ve begun to call her ‘Mom’ as she gets insistent about my practice time. Sammie just sleeps in a little bed under my diamond painting table.

As you can see the sunset beach is nearly finished. Just a bit of sky. All the pinks are done. On to the blues.
This made me laugh. Milo is forever jumping and dancing about. He’s always making me laugh. And when he looks at me with his serious brown eyes, I can hear Morgan Freeman’s voice
