One-liner Wednesday SNOW

There was little snow in the morning, then mud, now snowing like it should have on Christmas Eve!

If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.

Tuesdays Tidbits

This morning’s snow. Not predicted. Tomorrow we are supposed to have rain. We’ll see.

By noon, the snow is mud, except right in the front on the house’s north side.

Decided to add a pom-pom to the hat on the left that is going to the same house as the hat I finished and pommed on the right. I loved this gifted yarn to make gifts with.

The hat on the right has a rolled cuff, as I thought I had better get it finished soon. This was on the Flexee skinny loom. It was so fun to work with. To decrease, I followed this tutorial, which works out so nicely.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “mini/maxi.” Use “mini” (the smallest of something) or “maxi” (the largest) or both in your post. Have fun!

Last night as we took Kali outside it was snowing. I grabbed shoes and my new coat (thank you, Rizza!) and stood on the porch looking up. There is nothing as beautiful as white fluffs drifting down onto face and glasses. This gave me maximum enjoyment for a mini amount of snow. (Possibly 1/4 inch.) Most melted. More is expected tonight and tomorrow. Maybe another maximum thrill coming.

Added 1300 to the project. I’ll get this out and edit after midnight after I have the full numbers to report.

[EDIT to follow]

So the total for yesterday (since it is after midnight) was 41,791 the goal was 41,675. So staying ahead. A bit.

This came up as a memory on Facebook. This was five years ago.

Guess what happened several times today.

One of the One-Liners that came to me for yesterday would have been:

This is the fake snow, it turns brown.

But it is interesting that we get snow the same day years later.

Another one-liner to say was:

A Few Snowflakes Last Night

In the teens last night. A high of 34 F today. Tonight 8 F. I’m tired and cannot get warm even with the heater on high. So my brain is not bringing the creativity! Stay warm everyone!

Stream of Consciousness Saturday

It never rains but what it pours. We’ve been in a draught for so long here on the west coast. Fires shouldn’t surprise us.

Finally, today a little rain. My eyes are so relieved from lack of smoke or too much sun.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a happy medium? (Photo from Puxabay.com)

One-liner Wednesday

Though today is smokey, you can see it is Autumn. Fires and bugs take heed: Winter is coming!

Sunny Sunday

We have two newish chicks. The white hen is the mom. One baby is drinking water, the other is upper left. They are dark brown like their daddy.

Fall is happening. Yellow trees, yellow driveway.

I’ll take another picture tomorrow as this was two days ago. There are lots more on the driveway today, and the tree is more naked.

By the way, working from my phone is easier now than laptop. Go figure!

Happy Sunday!

Too Hot

Today and tomorrow I am only waving ‘hi!’

I don’t want to turn on the computer. We don’t have AC, so trying to keep as cool as possible. Hope everyone is okay out there.

I didn’t have a picture nearby but the ball sits with me. That starts my stream of consciousness. Beach ball. Summer. It is still in the 80s, I’m sure at this time. The bugs will invade within the hour as they have been for the past few evenings. Ugh! The bugs make me wish for snow!

Summer used to be my favorite season. That was when I could go to the beach or pool to swim. I love being in the water. I wasn’t a beach bunny that liked to be out on the sand getting a tan. If I could I would be swimming. Diving down to the bottom. Swimming on the bottom as long as my breath would last. I even remember having tea parties on the pool floor. Just thinking all this is helping my body temperature lessen.

Walking on the sand at the beach. The delightful cool wet sand after the heated sand that seemed to release muscle aches but then started burning the soles of my feet. The water lapping up to my feet with foam and sometimes seaweed. The sand leaving from under my toes as if it were alive. The cold water nearly causing pain, definitely causing me to screech. And then I would hear the transistor radio of someone on shore my favorite summer song. I knew it was summer when I heard it.

My next to favorite song that reaffirms summer is:

Thank you for helping me cool off and remember my favorite memories of summer past. Maybe sometime we will be able to enjoy all that again. Meanwhile. memories will have to do the job.

Per Linda:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “song.” First, find a picture–the closest one to you. Your prompt is the title and/or the lyrics of the first song that comes to mind when you look at the picture. Have fun!
