As serious as the subject matter was, spousal and child abuse, it is full of surprises and positive energy. About a third of the way in, I felt the story finished. But suddenly there’s a part two: a new person who seems too good to be true, but she’s got the kind of attitude I wish I could emulate.

There are definitely some parts that are suspenseful, to the point I had to find something else to read at bedtime. But January LaVoy’s narration brings more energy and loving characters to life.

I was blessed to find this on Libby. I have to admit to enjoying Nora Roberts’s writing more and more.

What a beautiful story! It isn’t often that stories are about elderly females. This character is so well developed. We see Lily-Bob’s past warts and all.

Amanda Prowse writes and narrates this charmer. Both excellently.

I don’t remember who recommended this. Thank you, whoever you are.
This was the Audible version. I hope you all get to give this a listen.

Well, that was quite a ride!
Even though I was under the weather, I had another Nora Roberts story to keep my interest.
Sadly, I couldn’t find it as an audiobook. With all the Gaelic or ancient verbiage, a talented narrator would be so welcome. Still, Ms. Roberts can weave a tale.

I’m not usually into vampire stories, unless they knit, or have a sense of humor. But I learned to feel
for the old buzzard.

The cast of characters was confusing at first, but by the end tears were running down my face for them all. Another way a narrator or two could have helped.

As I mentioned in the review for the first book, if you like the streaming series of Sullivan’s Crossing (Netflix, I think), you’ll like these books. The same love and concern for each other, living in a tranquil place of camping and hiking, and sweet characters combine to make a heartwarming story.

Roby Carr writes a beautiful story. This second book seemed to have a bit more repetition than may be needed, but it is easy to forgive. Terese Plummer narrates the tale well. I wish she could vary the character voices better. All the men sound the same; all the women sound the same. It is hard, sometimes, to know the person who is speaking. But Ms. Plummer keeps the listener engaged.

This book has quite a lot of suspense near the end. Thank you, Ms. Carr, for leaving us in a happy place regardless.

I found this second book on Audible. I want to go camping at Sullivan’s Crossing again soon. Next paycheck, I guess.

Have you watched Sullivan’s Crossing? If you have you will feel like you are watching it the whole book. I love Robyn Carr’s writing style. It makes you feel comfortable. You see and smell the environment.

The narrator, Therese Plummer, is good, but it is hard to tell whose point of view she is portraying. All her males sound the same. Still she’s far better than text-to-speech.

I must admit that the order of the story is different than the show, but it works as well either way. My Audible version will be ready when I want to listen again. And now I have book two.

Brittany Pressley narrates this second book of the Lost Bride Trilogy as she did the first and third. She brings all the characters, embodied and disembodied, with clarity and humor.

Nora Roberts is becoming a favorite author for me. I am sure these books come across on the page as well as they do in audiobook form.

These aren’t terribly scary but there are moments of terror. Not so much that you can’t read it before sleep.

As the title suggests, this book takes it up a notch: the main character, Sonya, is forced to attend ancestors’ weddings in the past. Through the looking glass (Mirror)!

I enjoyed this so much that I immediately went to Libby and got the next book in the series. So far I am not disappointed.

I’m becoming a fan of Nora Roberts. After finishing my last read at midnight, I searched for available audiobooks on Libby. I saw one of hers and decided that would do it. Brittany Pressley narrated this contemporary story. With ghosts!

The main character has spirit to spare, and she takes over her inherited manor with a gusto she didn’t expect to find. The main characters are fun and keep the story going. There’s even a dog that plays an important role.

It only took two nights of reading to finish and start the next book in the series. I can’t wait to continue

If you get the chance, pick this one up. I think you’ll like it, too.

Meryl Streep narrated this story. It was fun to hear her voice. I do wish the characters had been a little different but that didn’t stop an intriguing story.

This wasn’t a story full of thrills or mystery but rather memory and family. A parent telling stories of her youth. This was a great read for bedtime. Just enougn to keep keep me awake and interested. No tension to add to bad dreams.

Libby supplied this audiobook. I hope you get the chance to read it.

I ran out of things to read at two in the morning. Under available audiobooks, I found this one.

This is a layered story; three different characters share their truths around the Lost Apothecary. Lorna Bennett, Lauren Anthony, and Lauren Irwin narrate the people, giving the story depth I think might be missing in a book read by eyes.

It was a quick read. I must admit that it made me want to do research like the main character. Any time I am supposed to be writing, I find myself going down deep wells of information. Most of it never makes it into the book, but I feel it enriches my soul and mind.

I love a series. Especially if I can get to a couple of the books at a time, this one was available when I found the first book. Yep, Libby.

Lauryn Allman did the narration as she did on the first book, so there was consistency in the story.

I found some parts of this one confusing. Maybe if you can read the book, it would be more apparent, but listening can lose threads. Or is it my ADHD? Still, by the end, I knew what was what. And the story continues.

Sadly, I can’t continue as the next two books weren’t available.

At least the book didn’t end on a cliffhanger.
