Per Linda: Your prompt for JusJoJan January 2nd 2023, is “constellation.” Use the word “constellation” any way you’d like. Have fun!

Thanks, Willow, for today’s prompt. Click on her name to check out her blog.

Look at all those stars!

As Van Gogh illustrated it seems they are in motion. And they blink in and out. Magical. Even when we know the science behind the beauty. We are in awe.

As a young person, I gazed at the stars and learned the names of the constellations you would think that my favorite would be the archer. Sagittarius, after all. But I gravitated to the serpentine creature between the big bear and little bear. Draco. I could hear him call to me.

One day he joined the constellation of characters in my books. There are nearly as many dragons in the books I write as there are people. Dragons can teach, transfer in time and space, form living areas for everyone when the planet surface becomes uninhabitable due to meteors falling.

Best of all, dragons are a reflection of our inner being. That’s why my favorite dragon is Enelrad. Her mate is Sirch.

We can be brave and fly between bears (or the stars). We can fly between the constellations.

Someday I will be able to publish Haven’s stories.

Ta Da Tuesday

Not sure I like this. I can’t understand what I’m looking at. I still need to straighten drills, seal, and paint on the frame. I think this set of four dragons will go over my bed.

Here’s the next picture. It is harder to see than the one above.

It’s the process not the end result. So tomorrow I’ll be ‘kitting up’

Oh, and it’s snowing. I’m hoping we’re getting enough to pull us out of an exceptional draught. It sure is cold!

It’s April?

So I finally am finished aligning the drills. I must complain about the glue not holding properly in some places while not allowing an alignment shift in others. So I took a pic prior to doing a layer of Mod Podge.

I will put another layer of Mod Podge tomorrow then paint a frame on Wednesday. Thursday it will find a place on my wall. Yay!

Today I started the new fun Diamond Painting. I received this new project of four pieces. Four dragons!

I pulled out one and chose to work on it without peeking.

Right away I’m impressed with the key and symbols. Just alphanumeric. And clear. So much easier on my eyes. And the sample picture makes me excited. It is bigger than either of my last two DP projects.

I like that the company seeks to provide the best–the paragraph on top.
Here’s what came rolled up in the picture. The package of diamonds, the pen, the green sorting bin with pink wax, and little resealable bags. I won’t use them until I’m finished with the project.

Here is how the packages of0 diamonds, drills, came. Way better than my previous works.

Look at this easy-to-see and understand symbol key.
Preview.

And now I am kitted up.

Tomorrow I’ll tape the edges. Then I’ll roll up the bottom, section off the top with release paper. And start dotting on the upper right working left then down. It keeps my hands off the sticky bits that way.

Here is the kit if you are interested.

Fire & Blood: 300 Years Before A Game of Thrones (A Targaryen History, #1)Fire & Blood: 300 Years Before A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

This is probably one of the worst books ever. It was worse than a history book in that it was fiction. Two things I do say that is the positive things, there are more females listed than in most history books. And the narrator, Simon Vance, did a great job keeping the story interesting in spite of no story to tell.

If you love history books this is a book for you. I’m not at all looking forward to the new show that is supposed to be about the Game of Thrones prior to the series. I just hope the show can bring more individual stories more depth and, geez, let’s enjoy the riding of a dragon here or there!

I received a box in the mail. I was expecting yarn to make her socks. But my cousin sent this wonderful dragon. I’ve now named it after her and will make sure she flies in my next Havenverse book!

I would have been equally excited for yarn. I love soft yarn and making socks!

But Haven has Her way into my writing one way or another!

Thank you, Terrina!

Color doesn’t make sense to me. How can the two ‘o’s sound so different? To me, in my accent it sounds like ‘culler’. Brits make it sound proper with their spelling. It sounds fuller and yearns for crayons and paints.

Since once again I’m staring at the end of another month of not Escaping  with the coloring club, I think I’ll stop streaming and go to my hobby room and finish the pages I started at the end of last month. Hopefully, that will create Sunday’s blog.

Need to finish today!

Per Linda:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “color/colour.” Use it as a noun, a verb, or pick a color and write about it–use it any way you like. Have fun!

Last time I saw this picture was in July last year. Oops! I haven’t colored in a long time! But today I finished using pens and crayons. I didn’t like the story they presented. I have a Marina in my latest Haven book so I rewrote the bottom. Which is nudging me to make the next story about Marina. I really like her and I think she has a lot to offer. My Marina has short blonde hair but I suppose she enjoys wigs or can grow it out now that she has been gene-popped with the other Havenites.

So now I have the beginnings of an outline for JuNoWriMo! Thank you Linda, for tickling the muses and getting me back to enjoying the escaping!

Here’s the next pic in that book. I hope I can hit this before mid-month for a change! It really helps to play with the crayons and colors!

I don’t like the idea of swords or knights or other things attacking my dragons, but this may well happen in the next book! Woe be to those who attempt to kill my Haven dragons!

Thank you, Linda G. Hill, for this fun prompt. I am always happy when I join in the fun of the Escapist Coloring Club

Last month I didn’t even get to the coloring. But I think we need this fun escape. So I prioritized. And my hands were hurting from socking too much. I think I have a dozen socks in the process. My new X-Wing fighter is a lot of fun to figure out. Yet I still haven’t finished my daughter’s and her boyfriend’s sock. They are close but that last bit at the cuff is the part I can’t do on auto-drive. I need to watch what I’m doing and not miss stitches. So that bit on the bottom right is my daughter’s nearly done sock. The yarn tied on each of the wings is to keep a big tangle from happening from sock to sock. The bottom wing is me trying to figure out certain stitches and how I can move the wedges around instead of increasing and decreasing.

Oh, yeah, this is about coloring!

Here is the before:

This time I needed the smell of crayons.

I need new pens or something as the colors are just not as bright as I wanted. And they certainly don’t show up on the cell pic. Well, it was fun to sit and color regardless. Next month I have a better project and new coloring instruments to play with.

Here’s the preview:

More places to put the colors!

Thank you, Linda, for the Escapist Color Club!

This is my presentation to the Escapist Coloring Club. Sorry I’ve missed the last few months. I like to color. Why is it I put it off?

Here’s the before:

I used a combination of crayons, color pencils, and gel pens. Oh, that brownish stain on the right side of the page, that I remembered to put the blank white paper over in the before, It was on my husband’s side of the table where I kept the book. I think it was coffee. I tried to erase it or cover it up with a white pastel. Now I will keep it in my little lap-desk!

The quote below the picture didn’t show up all that well. It says:

The mysterious and elusive fairy dragons are often mistaken for large butterflies or dragonflies. They were favorite companions and mounts of the ‘wee people”.

Dragon Coloring Book

Oh, I have a new desk to keep my coloring and writing supplies.

My Desk

Not waiting until the last day of the month. Luckily this is May and there are 31 days! 🙂 Here’s my May project Empty first then color-penciled (noun becomes a verb!).

This guy was fun to work with. Imagine a colorful feathered dragon!

Here’s next month’s dragon (butterfly dragon?):

Thank you, Linda G. Hill, for this fun challenge!

How does a free blog site work when everything is tied to dollars? How do you create content without using proprietary themes when it seems even the colors and fonts are tied to upgrades for usage? Is it even possible? I hope to find out.
