The newest development here: Sammie and Milo on my chair together, like they were last night in my bed.
Sammie and Milo sleep together.
The knitting doesn’t have much progress to show.
Linus and Lucy, page one is improving. It looks so easy! Not if you have no rhythm.🥴
Oh Holy Night is coming along, as is When Christmas Comes to Town. I’m enjoying sight reading all my Christmas songs.
I’m a little concerned as my husband just tested positive for COVID two days ago. He wasn’t doing too badly until this evening. Now there’s a bit of a cough and he’s tired. This means the rest of us are taking precautions.
We finished all of Orphan Black and the sequel. It was fun. Now we are deeply into Stranger Things.
It’s been raining, now it’s so cold! But still no snow. We may still have a white Christmas.
We are still walking. It’s become a part of our daily story. Above is one of the scenes we see. We went this way today.
Thursday’s walk
We went straight until we heard the prompt say it was a mile. Then turned around.
Oops screenshot captured the chat! But hey! Awards are fun!
Today’s walk. Way shorter but longer somehow.
So coming around back towards our street a neighbor came out to talk to us. She was concerned about a dog in a house closer to us. It seemed tangle in chains. They had tried to give the dog water as the chain was keeping the dog standing and unable to reach food or water.
The dog owner had been suffering from a stroke so none of us knew where he was.
We reported it to the sheriff looking for a welfare-check for the dog’s owner. My brother and husband untangled the chain and brought the dog here to chain in our front yard.
We learned his name is Bear. He is sweet. Even Kali likes him. We still don’t know where his owner is, or even that he is okay. Wish we could afford to have a big brute like Bear but we’re barely able to care for what we have.
Anyway, that walk was short for milage but long on story.
I’ve set up my yWriter7 for my memoirs. CampNano started today. I think my goal is a little too high, 50k. My imagination is good for that. But real life? I can already see it will be a bit of a psychological trip but to get to nuggets to share I need to walk in the mully grubs.
Where did this week go? Seems like just yesterday was Sunday. Today was actually the first day we had blue skies. It is been so smokey from the fires in California and Oregon.
Since my computer broke down I’ve been doing everything on the phone or on my Kindle Fire. It is much harder to blog and certainly harder to put in pictures or make something interesting. But we’re working on getting a laptop working for me again. I’m trying to get ready for NaNo and all kinds of things like that so–
I just wanted to stop in and say everybody’s fine here and I hope everybody out there is doing okay. Stay safe and try to find breathable air.
Looking out my window at a cloudy clear day, very little smoke.
Fever is down. Day was cooler. Got to Zoom with friends. Tooth still keeping me sleeping or in pain. Losing weight is the plus as I rarely eat. I think the antibiotic is working so I’m hoping not to be feeling poorly for much longer.
Once again I write from my phone. I hope to stream tomorrow.
Though I lost the day and forgot what day it was many times today, I am happy to report that Trash Day and Friendship Zoom Day brought me back. I was beginning to wonder as the garbage truck usually gets here before eleven. And since we lost track of days last week there were a lot of bags out there. Thank goodness it was just later than usual.
Okay, good. It is Friday.
Zooming with friends is the best, isn’t it? I think we laughed so much that we made up for all the horrid stuff going on lately. Hours and hours! And near the end, a bright surprise. My son called.
Don’t you love talking to offspring that are grown up and make you so proud to know them? Well, I do.
So that answers the question, What Day Is It Anyway? But who can tell? Just about the time you think you know it isn’t what you thought. #WDIIA
I love Fridays. That my Zoom with Friends day. It would be more fun if we could get together but we are all of the age that COVID19 loves the most. So we play or complain or just love each other the best we can with the face-to-face connection. Look if we didn’t get to your top issues and solve them, then nobody can! Now if only we could figure out how to get a good night’s sleep, we would win all the awards out there!
Ending the day with another beautiful sunset:
Now it is fifteen minutes until Saturday. My brain is done trying to figure out What Day Is It Anyway. Besides, it’s night. That ventures into What Time Is It Anyway, and we know that is a horse of a different color!
