Still need about 4 rows of ribbing to finish.
Still need to cast-off for heel hole, then cast-on leg for yoga socks.
This is what took all my time. Milo (the dog, not the cats!😉) made yarn vomit clouds with one skein. I had caked it but after knitting a few inches on my toe-up, two-at-a-time, Fleegle Heel socks for my daughter, and finding they weren’t matching up at all, I frogged the pair, recaked both skeins. Then recaked again one of the cakes (turning it inside out. And hopefully matching up the skeins.

It worked! By the way, the little balls on either side of the mouse was how much I had to waste until they matched.

This is how self-striping yarn skeins should work up. These are my son’s.
Haven’t touched these.
Not these.
A couple songs I’m playing with.
Three more fun songs.
And more fun.
My new music journal. Bigger and better than the last.
It was supposed to be for finances but the columns work for my music practice needs.
Dragon finished!
Now 1/3 into this spooky fun.

I do my Duo while on my stationary bike during the afternoon news.

Well, there’s the hobby progress. Now if I could figure out how to do more on the weekends.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “calendar.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

Today on the calendar will be a red-letter special day for us and these special guys. They are on their way. And may make it all the way here or spend the night at a motel if my son gets too tired to drive.

Crunchy, one year old, Chihuahua-terrier male. Needs to be neutered and rabies shots. Name subject to change.
And Salem. She’s seven I think they said.

Does anyone see what we see? The more things change…

We still miss our black and white Kali, rat terrier, Rosey, black cat, and Teddy ginger.

Sammie, ginger, will hopefully welcome his new friends soon. I hope they like each other.

One-Liner Wednesday

*”Instead of having such faith that things will turn out badly, why don’t you try to believe that they will turn out just fine–no matter what we do or don’t do? Do you really think that whoever is up there in heaven cares if we dance and sing and drink crémant?”

“What you are doing is believing, not thinking. It’s a choice. The problem is that you do not believe in something that makes you happy, What’s the point of that?”

Okay, it’s a two-fer! Shoot, let me count again. A six-fer? I found that last quote by Laura Bradbury in *The Grape Series #6, My Grape Escape. Laura and her husband may actually be putting a bid on a house in France. She’s afraid she will jinx it by drinking to it.

I’m going to stick to Laura’s husband, Franck, and state the thing I’ve been afraid to jinx. The good news that my son gave me is that his girlfriend will bring us a dog and cat soon. The previous owners have to move and can’t take the animals. She asked if we wanted them, and without a beat, I said YES! <–That loud, too! And that, the day after, I colored these cuties (a coloring app on my Fire) and put the picture on my front door as a sort of vision board.

So, that’s my secret. I will be happy.

Do-over Please

This day! Yikes! It started with a sad situation for my son.

Our internet has been so sketchy today.

I attempted to do my first Podcast. I did the recording on Zoom. I thought I was capturing the set-up of my yWriter project for this November. What I got is a recording of my glasses and my voice yammering on and on. Then I could go no further because of a bad internet connection.

So to soothe my soul, I pulled out the hat I was knitting. It was supposed to be a fast one as I was e-wrapping. But 5 inches in, I found it was too large. So I had to frog-it, rippit. Now it is only an inch long and that’s part of the fold up brim.

Tomorrow is another day. I’m hoping for insight. Anyone know how to share screen on Zoom on the laptop?

On the plus side one of my NaNoWriMo project is ready for wordage!

A collection of thoughts come to me today. Forty two years ago today my third son was born. It seems a million years ago, yet yesterday. Never did he feel new to me. Never had the gene-pool collected so many aspects of loved ones. I think he inherited all the good of us. His preciseness, musicality, need to express, yet need for isolation makes him difficult to control but more lovable nonetheless. His life finally seems to be blooming. Love has found his life. I hope and pray that for him forever.

Now let me collect my emotions, tears of joy and love. Maybe I have a stable center when I’m not focused on family. But family is what I collect.

But let me take a moment to do a memorial. My son, Logan, just lost his best friend, Vader. For quite a while Kali and her mommy (Laura) lived with Vader and Logan. And these, my grandpuppies, played together. Kali thought she was the one in charge. Vader was just a lovable, laid-back, lapdog. Well, far too big for a lap. But he was Mutt (the big one) to Kali’s Jeff (the little one) It is breaking my heart as I love that big brute so much. I know my son must be a mess, Here are pictures of Vader when he was younger and recently.

RIP Vader
