Not a Grey’s Anatomy myth!

Got to take a ferry to Seattle. Space Needle! No, I didn’t get to go in. But I enjoyed the view!
I’ll share the beach walk for tomorrow as well, there’s a secret to keep until then.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “bagged.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
How is it that Bagged seems a happy, positive thing. Yet sacked can bring you down?
We are finally done with my travels. My friend brought me home. Everything I’d bagged is now put away, or at least near the desired home.
Tomorrow we plan to bag more food and water and take a little trip to take a hike and enjoy nature’s beauty. Fun is in the bag.
Gone are the days when a day enjoying yourself could result in being sacked. See what I mean?
I hope you have a great weekend! Here’s another way to be bagged:

When I first got to my friend’s house, her cat, Stormagedden-dark lady of all, was afraid of me. I spent a lot of time with treats and toys. I think, now that it’s time to go home, she’s starting to accept me.

The heart got some diamonds. Just didn’t have the back for it. My floor sleeping skills are getting better, but not quite as strong as when I was younger.
Meanwhile, I’m told that Kali sits in my recliner at home howling. It makes me sad and feel like I’m cheating in my pup with Storm. 😢

I can think of names of people I know who have heard me say that I didn’t believe Pyramid Lake existed. Julie, Cheryl, Chris, Yve are a few.
The thing is, while I lived in Reno, NV, I made many plans to see said lake. But plans fell through every single time.
Finally, I got there. It was beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately, it was very hot so we didn’t stay long. But here is the proof:

Please Wiki the lake. It had quite the story to tell. Tufa and all

Well, I made it to my daughter’s. It was a long but fun ride with my friend. We enjoyed 60s oldies to get us through the trip.
Sadly, we had to drive through a lot of smoke to get into Reno. So much burned on either side of the freeway. A lot of home lost or in danger. Many were evacuated awaiting a chance to see if they still have homes. It’s so sad.
My people are safe. But this is not so for so many.
Meanwhile, temps are in the triple digits. Thank goodness for AC in the homes I’m visiting.
I’m so tired from the trip I think I’ll retire early.

And in combinational cheating as with the letter U, I am thanking Linda G Hill for One-Liner Wednesday! Two for the price of one! 😉

Can you believe I just got all my clothes put away?
This #AtoZChallenge has been fun and I was doing great until I had an impromptu serendipitous vacation with framily.
It has been two winters since we lived in Reno. Some towns when I go to visit after leaving make me giddy (any of them near the beach) just being there. Some, like Riverside, bring me to a deep depression. Reno just seems surreal to me. Except for my family and friends, I feel very little for the town.
Here are the typical postcards. If you like casinos and bare mountains…

Sure these are pretty pictures, but I wouldn’t want to live here. My vacation was spent in family and friends’ homes. That is where the beauty lies in Reno.
My sincerest apologies. For the past few days, to those who read these, I have been MIA. It is Mostly because I have been in Motion. We Motored to Reno where I stayed at my daughter’s while she stayed with her friends. It was as if I had my own apartment for a week.
I never had that. I went from my parents’ home to my husband’s home. After four kids and divorce, I was in charge of my own place but shared it with my children who were becoming teens. After children left the nest I married again. Another husband’s home. Most of my children have had the chance to live in their own places and learn who they are. I am proud that they have had that chance. Well, my oldest lives with his dad, but at this point, Dad needs the company. So oldest still needs that time. But the other three have had that experience and come out quite nicely.
So for this past week, Kali and I had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet time thoroughly. Most of the time I found myself watching Netflix or Hulu. Daughter doesn’t have cable. So it was good to catch up on my watch lists.
Apartment living wasn’t as nice as living in the country. Every time Kali needed to go outside she had to have on her harness and leash. I had to remember poop-bags. Daughter’s apartment complex supplies the bags at certain grassy areas but I tried to remember ours. It was good to have them in my pocket. The time or two I forgot, it was nice they were still handy. It was irritating that others didn’t avail themselves of the bags. I assumed they were more into cell-phone gazing than connecting with their dogs. So I didn’t walk in the grass. I stayed on the cement nearby and Kali walked the length of her leash.
Meanwhile, this is Merely ‘M’! I nneed to Move on to the nnext letter in the #AtoZChallenge. Must Move on!!!
