The Sunflower House by Adriana Allegri
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Here’s the part of the blurb on Goodreads that pulled me in:
Family secrets come to light as a young woman fights to save herself, and others, in a Nazi-run baby factory—a real-life Handmaid’s Tale—during World War II.
Adriana Allergri’s novel is beautifully written. Barrie Kreinik, Dallin Bradford, and Saskia Maarleveld narrate the story, keeping the reader engaged.
I must admit I wanted more about the actual Sunflower House, but I can see it as a safe haven in a crazy world. I loved the main character, Allina, and the people she loves help you see the bright spot in a paranoia-inducing world.
Libby supplied this audiobook. Thank you. I hope many get the chance to read this.
