Weekend 1, then Weekend 2. That should make this Super Monday!

Part of Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday.

Been sleeping like a rock. Still tired. But I think the meds are kicking in. When I feel better this website gives me some ideas for crafting.

Creative Stone Art Ideas

Have a great Saturday!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “rock’.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “starts with ‘ab’.” Find a word that starts with “ab” and use it in your post. Enjoy!

I absolutely love the sky out here. Especially the sunsets.

I feel like the absent minded professor right now. I can’t seem to think of what to write about. Sometimes my brain goes to the absurd and I don’t want to abstain from writing but find myself absorbed in the many abiding abilities and lack thereof calling to me. Too bad the prompt isn’t ADD. But that is just an abuse of a good prompt!🤪

Finishing Friday

Well, look at that. Something besides knitting! LOL!

Then again, I did a bit of that, too.

Ready for the heel. Cotton. Of the cotton yarns, this has been nice.
Ready for heel. Fun on Flexee Fine-gauge looms.
These colors are more beautiful than the picture. And this is a wool mixture. But my hands aren’t happy with the fine yarn and skinny needles. So these might take a bit longer.
Decided to make a leftovers hat. I love this yarn. It feels like butter.
I have added and edited more. I’ve nearly met my goal. Yay!

I’d love to say I’d hit more piano than one song, but I still feel happy that I did what I did. Trying to keep it fun so I want to go back.

It’s soulful and pretty.

We just hit our 20th year married, 30 together. That should be considered an accomplishment! Still in love and laugh a lot!

We don’t wear rings, but love a good beach pic!

One Liner Wednesday

I know the feeling!
A part of Linda’s One-Liner Wednesday

Mindful Monday

Sleet today. Freezing tonight. I’d love to share our cool for a bit of Texas warmth.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “sight/site.” Use one, use them both, use them any way you’d like. Bonus points if you use them both. Have fun!

Sigh, the site doesn’t load. Not a picture in sight.

Trying Tuesday

Sometimes I’m looking for other things to try. Today my curiosity is sending me to these tutorials.

I can’t seem to get myself to sit at the piano even though I miss it so much. So I thought maybe working on ear training and playing with chords rather than sight reading. This might do the trick for me.

I saw this on Facebook. Isn’t beautiful?

So I looked up Quilling.

I want to try watercolor and acrylic painting so here are a couple tires for those.

What are you trying these days?

The StorytellerThe Storyteller by Jodi Picoult
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jodi Picoult has written another winner. A well-written story told by all these narrators made this experience feel alive. Some of that was great, but the story is about actual horrific historical events. Mozhan Marno (Narrator), Jennifer Ikeda (Narrator), Edoardo Ballerini (Narrator), Suzanne Toren (Narrator), and Fred Berman (Narrator) made me think of the old radio shows. I never got to listen to them, but there have been a few vacation road trip replays.

I have to admit that reading this at bedtime was often a mistake. My dad had been in a concentration camp as a prisoner of war. I learned about what really happened just before he passed. As children, he told us it was like Hogan’s Heros, and that was how he learned German. A nice guard taught him. But the reality was far different, and he wasn’t Jewish. Just a US infantry grunt. Like most of them, he was an 18-year-old draftee. Too young. They all were. But somebody had to fight the monsters.

The Storyteller is a good title for this book. I highly recommend this read. I got this audio copy from Libby.
