A to Z Challenge, K

As I am looking to buy Avatar 2, Way of Water, I was reminded of Blockbuster’s past. “Be Kind, Please Rewind.”

So can we assume that losing the tapes is why kindness is hard to find? Just asking. I know it is still out there. But isn’t it like a sweet Kiss when you find it? And doesn’t it feel wonderful knowing you have passed it on, that you’ve made someone’s day?

Well, I have to keep this short as I have to write a review for an audiobook and a Kindle.

Because it was the ‘K’ word I could find. 🙂

Combo Wednesday

(sorry it’s so small. Posting on my cell) A to Z Challenge
Finished Friday on Wednesday
And they fit so cozily!

Just finished my socks!

A to Z Challenge, I

Investigating words that start with ‘I,’ I found some favorites. Information. Yes, that is the Google word. I go to Google when I want information. I hunger for it at times. Sometimes what is out there isn’t enough to just feed me. I need instruction. That is what YouTube is for. But if that isn’t enough for my hungry being, imagination will fill in the gaps. That brings me to a satisfying and immediate improvement in mood. I hope you found this interesting, if not

A to Z Challenge, H

How has this day escaped me? Ooh! Look at that, without even trying, I’ve used the letter! I usually do Make It or Made It Monday, but I just put all the projects away. And, yes, that was what kept me busy. The slipper socks I was making for me were disturbingly messed up. So I had to tink back down past the boo-boos. It was slow and boring, so I watched Knives Out and the Glass Onion while ripping the slipper to a workable place. Hey, those were fun! I didn’t expect to like them. I don’t like murder mysteries. But these are about a lot more than murder. Unfortunately, you have to rent Knives Out from Amazon. But you don’t need to watch Knives Out to watch Glass Onion.

This evening I decided I needed something in the background. I absolutely hate this show for all the intrigue and meanness. But the music is so captivating that I couldn’t help myself but buy the sheet music and hope to try to play it someday.

Somehow I need to get the area around my piano open so I can play again. Right now, it is holding the broken treadmill that we still haven’t gotten the people to do what they should about it.

Happy Monday!

Per Linda: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “starts with gen.” Find a word that starts with “gen” and use it in your post. Have fun!

This is to combine the SoCS with the AtoZ Challenge that I seem ahead of? I thought yesterday was G, but oh, well, I’ll go with it and stream as it will.

While everyone is concentrating on Easter and streaming and the challenges, I am still editing my CampNaNo novel, Reflexion. The ‘G’ word is Generate, something I need to do. I can’t wait to finish the edits to part one and actually start writing part two. I may actually get finished by tomorrow. I’m hoping that I won’t get garbage, but when letting the consciousness play and put the editor away, you gather the flowers with the thorns, if you get my drift. Generally, I know where the story is going, but now is not the time to worry about grace. Writing is fairly graceless. Editing is when you can make good, or almost good, to great. I hope.

The story I’m writing is sci-fi with ghosts. That is who is doing the reflections of the crew. Grand and Greatgrandparents who didn’t want to travel were left behind on Earth, but they chose to go with the space team in the end. And their ability to be there and unseen by many helps solve a lot of problems but gives grounds for a lot more growth.

Ah, well, back to editing. GROAN!

Ah, well, I’m still:

A-to-Z Challenge, G

Good Grief!

(Does that count?)

Finished Friday (leftovers from yesterday) is a little disappointing as life got in the way of actually finishing. I still have a couple rows to do on my socks. Half a chapter to edit on the first part of my goals for CampNaNo. Two other sock projects are no way near finished. One has been frogged and waiting to start again. I had hoped to start writing on part 2 of my Reflexions novel but needed to finish the editing.

Maybe tomorrow.

So anyway:

Glorious Good Friday to all who follow the tradition.

A-to-Z Challenge, F

A-to-Z Challenge

First time ever! Okay, so it wasn’t reaching a writing goal of 50k (should I say fifty K?). But I did complete my goal within the first few days of the month. I wanted to go through 15k (of fifteen K?) words. Wahoo! I did it! And I only have one chapter left to editing then I need to write part two of the book. I need to think about how much I think I can do realistically.

Turn in tomorrow to find out what I’ve finished. I feel like I have been flying. And I love Friday because of the Zoom with Friends. But then tomorrow won’t be the F day. It will be G. Yikes! What will that stand for?

Okay, I’m a bit of an outlaw this year. I didn’t get signed up for the A-to-Z Challenge on time. Still, I like the idea, so I thought I’d try to catch up today. Unfortunately, this is One-Liner Wednesday. Already I’ve gone too long. But let’s see if I can catch up with only one line:

Thanks, Linda, for cheat the prompt today.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “antic.” Use it as a word or find a word that contains it. Bonus points if you do both. Enjoy!

Anticipating April and Camp NaNo, I set up an easy goal. 15k for the month. Editing the novel started in November helps me get reacquainted with all the characters and the plot. So I’m counting the contents of each scene I edit. That will give me word count at first. And today’s count impresses me: 3,440! Yay!

Other antics I’ve been up to: more socks!

These are for me!!! Toe-up Two At A Time Socks with Fleegle Heel on ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars US 8, 40″. I no longer need to watch the YouTube by Happee.
On the foot, nearly the toes. I’m so glad. These needles and thin yarn are hard for my hands. These will probably fit a child.
These have been knitted and tinked so many times! Though the needle and yarn are thin, the Two At A Time Toe-up Socks on ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars US 1 are easier than the HiyaHiya Fliers or double pointed needles. It’s a learning curve for the mind and fingers.

Meanwhile, I’m improving on my exercises. I graduated bands on one of the leg bits. I can finally do a jumping jack. Not as many as the trainer, but more than the arm lifts I did at first. Isn’t it fun to watch your own body and mind improve? Even at this age (73)! Marvelous! We are made out of the stuff of miracles!

We’re loving Piccard!!!

Don’t expect practice jokes from me. I hate them. But I love all you
