Mobile Monday

Just a quickie to let you know I’m off to see family and friends. Yay! I’ll try to check in every day but I knew today would be hardest with seven hours in the car. But even that will be fun visiting with my son and daughter and almost daughter today and part of tomorrow.

Last night the offspring camped. My oldest and I visited with them but didn’t want to camp. So we drove home.

The view was fantastic!
Got all 20!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “make a note.” Do with it what you will. Have fun!

Make a note,

Sound it well,

Cause if you don’t

Someone might tell.

What might be fun:

Take a note,

Take quite a few!

Leave less to stroke!

Even none!

Sorry 😐

And that is how this hat came about.

In the charity bag.
Upper right corner purpled.
Strap is all that’s needed for the water bottle carrier for my husband.
A gift from a friend. A traveling Diamond Painting kit. Keeping it in the packaging until my travels.
Slipper socks to go. Bluish-white toes and heels. Purple foot and ankles.
61,048 words in memoir over three summer months.
Beautiful sunset.

One-Liner Wednesday

Thank you, Linda G. Hill for One-Liner Wednesday!

Making Monday

At least the sun still sets as it should.

Frogged two socks. And started over.

Brim of a hat done.
Water bottle carrier nearly ready for the strap.

If you still celebrate, Happy Fourth of July!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “—amble.” Add letters to the beginning of “-amble” to make another word or use it as is in your post. Enjoy!

Writing my memoirs is like ambling back through my life. 72 years of shambles and rambling through brambles. Ouch! or take a gamble with this choice or that. Though it is fun to revisit with my grandparents and aunts and uncles, revisiting death or car accidents can sometimes feel like it just happened even if it’s been decades since the actual occurrence. Still smelling the cedar of my grandparent’s closets or the ever-present scent of laundry soap can make me feel warm and secure. I have learned new ways to find my center.

Remember that friend you went to Renaissance Faire with? Remember a day of laughing while sitting in a creek on a hot day? So many memories to take that stroll. I do love a good amble!

This was my last plarn project on the loom. But I had forgotten how to work this pattern. So I frogged it.
My husband mentioned he needed a water bottle carrier for our walks so here’s the progress.
Finished a pair of socks. Shh! I think these are my daughter’s size.😉
Time to move on on these charity socks.

Something else I’m working on. And it really is work! I’m going through all the Doctor Whos. I’ve managed to get to season three. Good thing I’m not watching. It’s mostly background while I write.

I am both impressed with how much of the traditions they managed to maintain so many years later And watching my high school fashions scroll before my eyes. And I’m grateful for the progress in acting and technology making good shows nowadays.

One-Liner Wednesday

Found on Facebook. I totally agree!

Linda G. Hill prompts us thus:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “product/produce.” Use one, use them both, use them any way you’d like. Bonus points if you use both. Have fun!

Being the product of our parents, does that make us produce? Asking for a friend.

One-Liner Wednesday

One-Liner Wednesday is brought to us by Linda G. Hill.

When in the history of “Wait here” has the person charged with this demand actually Waited Here?

I’m bingeing Stranger Things. Hopper tells Joyce this in season 3, just before the thug beats him up and Joyce saves his keister.

Hehehe.
