Wow! Can you believe we are back to January in a year that can look like this Y2K22? Beginning Just Jot it January, again, a prompt to write on everyday. Today’s blends with the Stream of Consciousness Saturday with the word prompt appropriate for the day, resolve.

Resolve according to Dar’s silly dictionary is to repeatedly solve. Which is how we all continue an insanity every year. Resolutions have been proven unsuccessful most of the time.

My friend and I choose to sit and write out possibilities. Last year I saw a possibility of getting healthier. It took the whole year adjusting eating habits losing over 30 pounds. And Intermittent Fasting has been the best, easiest method of my life.

This year will mean a possibility of more movement. More music making. More art enjoyments. Of course more knitting. But I’m determined to knit socks on circular needles, flippies  or whatever they call those bendy short ones, and I want to learn to use double pointed needles. Right now, loom knitting is fast and I don’t lose stitches. But I am determined to be able to use any of these methods.

I see myself writing more letters and cards. And speaking of writing, I see those many books edited and finding readers.

I see people being kinder to each other. So let’s see if we can make this and more come true!

Per Linda of the prompts:

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “resolve.” Use it as a noun or a verb. Have fun!

Finished Friday

Oh, and Freezing Friday. Here’s our porch light as proof. It’s creepier at night but too cold and icy to step out to take a picture.

These finished and the next already started.

Kitchener cast-on, white toes cinnamon foot, white heel and cuff.

A very satisfying finish was the series Lost in Space.

Now back to Season 13 of Doctor Who.

Oh and here’s to the finish of this horrid year

See you next year!

Ta-Da Tuesday

Wow! It’s already a Tuesday! This week has been BUSY!

A pair getting ready for their heels.

More Diamond Painting happened. I’m so happy my friends got me into it.

Haircutting is calling. This bob is getting to me. Maybe another pixie?

26 degrees and snow tonight. Tomorrow night single digits. Glad our bedrooms are warm!

Making Monday

And other tidbits

These are turning out fun.

Watching Dash and Lily. So cute.

A Boy Called Christmas grabbed me with the cute boy and talking mouse.

Started watching Tick, Tick, Boom. I’ll try to watch tomorrow.

It has been so cold (high of 22) that we spent most of the day in the bedroom. I did manage about an hour out in the living room. And another hour on Diamond Painting. Oh, my living room time was watching Lost in Space. DP time listening to Les Miserables. 75% finished. It’s long even on Audible.

Back to Dash/Lily and knitting.

Sunday Slipper Socks

I think these will be cozy on somebody’s toes.

Kitchener cast-on done on the left, nearly done on the right. Black yarn nearly gone. Another pair of scrappy slippers in progress.

Ta-Da Tuesday

Getting lots done, just not the things I would have wanted to do for family and friends. Instead, charity yarn makes charity gifts.

Made on 80 pegs of KB fine-gauge Flexee loom. Fold up brim. Flat knit-stitch throughout. Kind of made up the decreases in crown.

The minute the loom was empty I divided it in two and made two 40-peg sock looms. Here’s the Kitchener cast-on (we were watching the Witcher so I called the cast-on the Witchener, hehe).

They will be slipper-socks.

Oh, and just for the curious, here’s the progress on the Diamond Painting. I can’t work at it for very long stretches but I do enjoy it.

Made It Monday

Done!

Heading to the gifter of red yarn!🤗

Quick notes: Kitchener cast-on, CinDWood sock loom, German short-row heel, 2by2 rib-knit cuff.

So busy trying to make the opposite sock to this one.

Doubt it will be opened on Christmas.😢 But it’s the love, right? No one spends weeks knitting out of the opposite of love. That results in another kind of sock.

Per Linda:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “opposites.” Use the word “opposites” or write about things that are opposites. Have fun!

Finished Friday!

Yay! Two more socks done! Done on the His looms of the KB His and Hers sock looms. Kitchener cast-on toe, flat-knit stitch through out. German short-rows for heels. Knit/Purl ribbed cuff.

Ta-Da Tuesday

One sock down, 4″ needed for sock 2.

And we got a call that we get our boosters on my birthday. I’m happy. 🤗
