Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “back of the fridge.” Write the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the phrase “back of the fridge.” Enjoy!

Ooh, that looks so nice! All that healthy produce! Ah, but don’t look in the back of the fridge. The light guy, you know, the one who turns on the light when you open the door? Yeah, he’s shy. And for good reason. He is busy with science experiments he doesn’t want us to know about. See that big plant? An escapee. It’s intelligent life from another planet. Light guy kicked him out. It was trying to mate with the rest of the produce.

Never go to the back of the fridge!

Finishing Friday

Well, I did finish a couple things.

Yay! My favorite hat yet! And it fits me. That makes it hard to put in the charity bag. Someone will like it to I hope.
This is the leftover yarn.
These are the ChiaoGoo circular needles I used in the last three hats. The upper right is US 7 24 inch. The right is US 8 16 inch. The left is my favorite and made this last hat. US 8 40 inches. When it was time to decrease I could magic circle a couple times to make it easier.
I hope you can read this. I finally found this pattern. It was the one I memorized early on and kept it in the ole noodle. LOL!

I started one more hat. I may be playing yarn chicken. Hope I have enough.

This is more info than I wanted to share as someone who likes bamboo socks will know.😉

Sock on the right HOTL (Hot Off The Loom). The purple yarn is from The Willows a local yarn shop. It is so soft. The white is leftovers from another project. It it thicker but good for toes and heels. The fuzzy yarn of the cuff is from a friend. I’m not sure I’d like it next to my skin but leggings might be nice under. Keep or gift, that is the question. LOL!!!

Progress on Daisies.

Things I’d like to Try

Van Gogh’s Starry Night with the first image taken by the James Webb telescope by alpgenart

I’d like to add this to my Van Gogh wall.

On another level, I want to learn better ways to fix mistakes in knitting. I tried a lifeline as I remembered doing a long time ago. I spent all day fixing my mistake. For future reference I’m posting the YouTube I should have watched early this morning. Hope it helps others and future me.

One-Liner Wednesday

A T-shirt and on Facebook says it all:

Astrophysics for People in a HurryAstrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

People who believe they are ignorant of nothing have neither looked for, nor stumbled upon, the boundary between what is known and unknown in the universe.”
– Neil deGrasse Tyson, Astrophysics for People in a Hurry

Though I felt like a total ignorant fool while listening to this book, I thoroughly loved it. I listened to this man’s great voice at my bedtime read. Neil deGrasse Tyson keeps the subject educating while inserting enough humor to keep a person listening.

I think this would be a good book to own while listening to the Audible remember to take notes and get ready to research like crazy.

Happy Hat

Just hanging out in the charity bag. I’m totally in love with how it turned out. Circular needles. The decreases turned out pretty, too. I’m getting better with needle-knitting. Of all of the yarning, this hurts least.

Linda’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “me.” Find a word that starts with “me” or use the word “me” as the theme of your post. Have fun!

Message me, I tapped.

Meanwhile, no answer. Nothing is worse than a lack of response. Especially if you are a mom.

We moms have huge imaginations. If there is a worse case scenario we’ve witnessed it in our heads. From that idea comes the litany of emotional repercussions. They hate us. We hurt them unbearably, we’re sure.

Rationale doesn’t hit. We have to work to find it.

Finally, there’s a new message.

Sorry, Mom. I was asleep. Or I was working.

Total relief from meandering worry, and the mess in our heads. Maybe we need to up the meds.

Finished Friday

Scrappy slipper socks for charity. Just using last bits of some yarn.

That’s all for now.

Happy Hath Day! (September 30th)

Sunflowers

This is going to be fun.
This was well marked. Easy to kit up. Diamonds will paint tomorrow.
