A few years ago I looked up all the words that don’t conform to the I before E except after C rule of English spelling. I found more words than I had expected. I ended up writing a short tale containing 66 unique exceptions to the rule: Feisty old Keith lives in the sovereign state of […]
My stream is dry today but I wanted to play. I found the above in a search. It was so well done I knew I couldn’t compete with my foggy tired brain. Please go and enjoy the whole blog. And check out all entries for Linda’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday.
I have about six books to review, but my energy seems to want only a blanket and garbage rerunning TV. But thought I’d check in. My numbers here should be the same as Duolingo:
But one lesson there and I’m exhausted.
On the plus side, my husband is up and seems to have energy. So I look forward to that!
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “iron(y).” Use “iron,” use “irony,” or use both. Use them any way you’d like. Bonus points if you use both. Have fun!
I am allergic to this word for the picture it conjures up. Especially on Saturday.
Shoot! Even writing it makes it show up.
You see, growing up, doing the family pressing was my job. Every dang Saturday. The whole family’s!
Granted the guys had to vacuum, cut grass and the like. And Mom did all the laundry, even before we had a dryer. That meant she hung up the clothes then when dry, she brought me the wrinkled clothes.
It seemed a never ending mountain. Not to mention Mom was angry every single Saturday.
Now I look at it with my t-shirts and permanent press and the occasional steamer (once every couple years?) and realize how unfair the world has been to women and especially my mother.
I am tired. I wish I could think of something ironic to say here. But maybe I’m anemic?
I’m still recuperating, not so much from the surgery but so many long trips on so little sleep. My husband noticed I don’t wear glasses while knitting or diamond painting. I still haven’t been brave enough to play piano or recorder for fear of not seeing the music properly.
I’m back to doing Morning Pages and working through both Artist Way and It’s Never Too Late by Julia Cameron.
My Life is still progressing. Five more days in May to meet my goal. I think it’s doable.
Lots getting done. Lots of writing. Still need to rest my eyes a lot while marveling over this miracle.
$15 at Amazon. Blue Light Protection, well, what it says on the box up there. The bottom part is a 3.50 and it gradually goes less. I wish the top was just clear as I still have to glance over the top for farther away, like television. But they help a lot for reading, knitting, and Diamond Painting.
Speaking of which:
Half of the bird is done now. Oh. And I got a QuickStik. Still new at using it but some people love it. I’ll let you know later.
Oh, and using the ruler is wobbly after hitting the middle section of the picture. Again, maybe there’s a learning curve.
My friend gave me new yarn. Are you feeling the giddiness I felt receiving it? Whee! ❤️❤️❤️🤗
And this cotton blend calls to being spa slippers. Couldn’t even keep it off the loom!
I still haven’t climbed back into the editing chair. 😢 Maybe tomorrow or weekend will get me going.
It is slightly warmer lately, but the wind keeps me inside. Even so I’m cold. I’m working on my diet to see if that’s the problem. With some foods unavailable in our stores I’m needing to be creative. Time for some shifting around.

Hi! my name is Sebastian (You can call me Seb!) ...welcome to my Blog. I'm a photographer from Worcester, Worcestershire, England. Thanks for dropping by! I hope you enjoy my work.
Books, games, music, and life — filtered through the mind of a writer, drummer, and philosopher who thinks too deeply about all of it. If it moves something in your chest, I'm interested.
